I paid for a sponsorship at the 2020 Southeastern Hemp Expo to be held in Jackson, MS on June 12-13, in the amount of $4,000. This payment was made on 2 different credit cards for $1,500 and $2,500, respectively, in March 2020. Due to COVID, this event was supposedly postponed until October 16-17, or possibly January 22-23, 2021. **** ********, the owner of Hemp Ville CBD (now HV Health LLC) was the person who took my money and was the event organizer. On Sept. 9, 2020, I received an email from **** saying the event venue was booked for March 12-13, 2021. After several inquiries about the show, I received an email on Feb. 28, 2021 saying he would now be hosting the expo "on a larger scale" (not on March 12-13) and would be sending over info "very soon." When I received that email, I called ****. I asked him to simply refund my money and I'd try again at another show. He told me that he'd already purchased the swag bags I sponsored, and that the venue wouldn't allow him to get his money back per the contract. That was the last time he communicated with me. I sent multiple follow-up emails (the last of which was Oct 26, 2021), allowing him to ship me the swag bags along with the purchase receipt, using MY Fed-Ex number, and refund me the difference between the $4,000 paid and the cost of the bags. I have all the emails, Facebook messages, phone logs and credit card payments as proof of this. His response has been zero. Ironically, he was building his Hemp Ville CBD empire during this time, and I believe he used my money to pay for his new business venture. This man has proven to be a con artist, fraud and very poor businessman.
