As I have done since 2008, I called SPC to get service at my home. January 2023 The lady recognized me as a long standing customer. She scheduled service but did not mention price. I assumed I would be charged about the same as the same service I received in March 2022, $62 plus tax. Service was provided. The tech gave me a bill for $150 plus tax. I questioned him about the excessive charge. He said call the office. I called the office. She said they had new owners and this is what they charge. I asked to talk to a supervisor. He called and said that is the new price no matter how long I had been a customer. So I tried to resolve the matter and was met with too bad. Mr. ***** is correct in stating he has been a long time valued customer since 1997. We have been providing pest control service efficiently and effectively on a every other month service frequency up until 2020. In the year 2020 Mr. ***** called us and only requested services in the months of May and December as a one time only service in the amount of $100.00 plus tax on May 6 2020 and the $60.00 plus tax on December 2, 2020. In the year 2021 he had pest control services performed also as a one time treatment request 03/03, 04/22, and 12/22 each for the amount of $60.00 plus tax. On 03/22 we provided 1 service in the amount of $60.00 plus tax and that was the only service in 2022. Southern Pest Control original owners sold the company to Rentokil NA on July 19, 2021. Southern Pest Control implemented a rate increase beginning July of 2022 to all of our one-time treatment service to be $150.00 plus tax. I spoke personaly with Mr. ***** and extended our appreciation of his choice to continue to request our services. However I explained to him I must charge him the same amount across the board that SPC will charge all consumers for the same One-time treatment request. I also emphasized he could save money by recieving service on a regular schedule maintenance plan. He advised this was not an option due to he does not live at this home permanently in Ocean Springs MS. that he is only here less than 6 months a year. I really want tp provide our services as requested for Mr. ***** but it seems we are at an impass at this time.
