I hired BIC construction to repair roof, shutter, fence, and shed damaged caused by storms. I paid initial deposit required and was told it was to buy all supplies and half of subcontractors fee. Once paid BIC only purchased part of supplies and never returned. When subcontractor asked for rest of materials and to get paid BIC would not do either and subcontractor had to come ask me for more money to get remaining supplies and to work out a deal with me to get paid for the job because he showed me in text where BIC told him if he wanted to get paid he had to go through me and told subcontractor he wasn't returning and he was over this ****. I had to pay extra to get job completed and tried to get with BIC for reimbursement for portion he did not complete and materials he did not purchased and he refused. Subcontractor also caused damage to my gutter and BIC refused to repairBusiness response

**** you jumped the gun and hired someone to finish my work. So of course I’m not going to pay you, **** you decided to make all this craziness happen by being impatient and not following our agreement. And the $ was right on, I went by State Farm’s measurements. So there the ones who should reimburse you for the wrong material. I tried everything in my power to get your insurance company to get you a full roof and most repairs as possible. I’m sry they only decided to give you half a roof and some repairs.Customer response

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: I requested throughout the job for ****** to come to my home as either his subs were not showing up or lack of help. All I got was my phones broke my trucks broke and then his sub said ****** was not purchasing anymore materials and that he needed to collect 800 from me and if he wanted to get paid because he was not coming back and done. ******** came to my house and showed me a series of text where he asked ****** to get paid and for materials and ****** said he wasn't coming back, ****** had a employee come get his trailer because he was done and not coming back, and that if ******** wanted to get paid he would have to knock on my door to get paid. After I saw the text and realized ****** took my money and ran and wasn't coming back I paid extra to ******** to finish the roofing job, more materials, and help complete work ****** was supposed to do and I completed alot of the work myself. You can see in attached text where he took blame and said sounds good to the 1500 to settle matter then backed out.
I also have additional text showing where he kept having excuses for no one showing up and requesting more money and only purchasing 12 of the 19 bundles of shingles when he states he went off state farms estimate but did not and pocketed money and never returned.
Regards,
