On [Date], I engaged Re-roofing America's services to install a new Owens Corning roof for my property through the Angie's List website. The contract included a written 2-year workmanship warranty, providing me with assurance that the installation would be of the highest quality. Regrettably, this has not been the case. A few weeks after the roof installation, I noticed a leak in my ceiling. Concerned about the damage, I immediately contacted Re-roofing America to report the issue. They dispatched a technician who, upon inspection, applied some sealant to a roof vent, which was purportedly the source of the problem. The issue appeared to be resolved at that time. However, approximately a year and a half later, we experienced a heavy rainstorm, which once again resulted in a leak through the ceiling drywall in the same location. I promptly reached out to Re-roofing America, providing them with photographic evidence of the damage and the previously addressed issue. To my disappointment, I received no response from the company, despite numerous attempts to contact them through both phone calls and text messages. I kindly request that Re-roofing America be held accountable for their obligations under the 2-year workmanship warranty. I insist that they take the following actions to rectify the situation: 1. Replace the roof vent boot with the correct size necessary to stop the leak promptly and effectively. 2. Honor their warranty agreement and undertake any further repairs required to ensure the roof's integrity and eliminate any potential future issues. 3. If Re-roofing America is unwilling or unable to fulfill their warranty obligations, I request that they reimburse me for the cost of hiring another reputable roofing company to perform the necessary repairs. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated, as I seek nothing more than a properly functioning roof and the fulfillment of the warranty we agreed upon.

I thought this was a message.     Mrs ***** hired another company to replace her roof.    They then called us and hired us to do the roof for them so we are not the contractor on the job     But I did talk to her and I walked her roof and everything looks good.   The problem was the other company ordered a wrong size boot for the plumbing and it’s a special order boot that slides over pipe and they never got the correct size.   But I went and ordered one and they shipped it to New Orleans so I drove myself and picked it up and the next day went and installed it.   As far as I know mrs ***** is happy now    But the complaint should be on other company and not mine

In March of 2022 I contracted with this company through Angie (This is one of the reason I hadn't filed a complaint here yet) The original estimate was $14k. Thet spent 2 weeks on my roof and replaced a lot of rotten wood and they reframed a portion of the roof to facilitate better drainage(flat roof with gutters) The project cost was becoming more than I anticipated so when owner called me after 2 weeks and was on the last 2 small sections I told him just to reroof those areas so they would not leak and don't replace any wood. Everything looked good and I paid them. When it rained a few weeks later I found the roof was still leaking in all but one of the same areas. I called owner and he sent someone over with a gallon of roof patch. A few weeks later when it rained again the roof was still leaking. I called again and again someone came out. A few weeks later it rained again and I contacted him. Since then I have texted or e-mailed him and he says someone will come out and they never show. Some areas are leaking worse than before they touched the roof and I have paid over 20k to him. Now he just ignores me and hasn't responded to text or e-mails. I filed a complaint with Angie and haven't seen any results. I have a 5 year Warranty.

I need someone from Re-roofing America to contact me about completing the job on my front porch. My last contact was, Wednesday, November 24, with **** ********. When no one came to fix my porch on that day, we exchanged emails and spoke on the phone. **** explained that he could not get his workers to do it on the 24th but he had all the necessary materials and he would come and redo the job himself on Tuesday, November 30. He did not show up and has not responded to numerous phone calls, texts and emails. It has now been 4 weeks since no contact. I want to know if anyone from Re-roofing America is going to redo the front porch repair as **** said he would. ******* “******” ******** used to be listed as an officer of this company but I see his name has disappeared now. He used to answer voice mail but he no longer responds either now. If this company has gone out of business or just quit my job, I would like someone to tell me. This repair on my front porch leak began on July 23. This company has my email, home phone and cell phone numbers, but no one contacts me or replies to voicemail, email or texts. This company did a beautiful job on a metal roof for my back porch. I was very pleased. I just do not understand. As a common courtesy I would like someone to tell me what happened. Is anyone going to return and redo my front porch job? Has the company gone out of business?

I am sorry that we are having this issue. My workers will come, but you told me that they were not capable of doing the job. The only thing that I can do is to complete the job myself, I just stay so busy. However, it is asbestos tile siding and I don’t know if we can even get flashing behind it without it breaking into a million pieces. That is why you and I decided to have flashing exposed and then for you to  have a carpenter use a trim board.  I know you keep saying that it is extra work and you are willing to pay for it, but I am just scared I will only cause you more damage.  If you want I will attempt it as long as you are aware it is a good possibility that it will break, and unfortunately they no longer sell that type of material. Again, i apologize for any issues and miscommunication.

        Thank you,

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

      I disagree with this response.
I never said his workers were not capable of doing the job.  How would I know that?  Mr. ******** told me they did not want to do the job because they did not think they could.  As I said in the original complaint, he then told me he would do it himself.  He believed the step flashing he got from Lowes could be slipped under the house siding.  Nothing was ever said about it breaking in a million pieces.
He just did not show up on the agreed upon day for him to do the work which was Tuesday, November 30, 2021.
Nothing in Mr. ********’s response addresses why he did not show up November 30.  Nor does he explain why he did not respond to phone messages left on his business phones, emails sent to his business and personal email addresses, messages left on the Re-roofing America website, or texts sent to his business cell phones.
To this day he has not contacted me to explain what happened.
      I have hired another roofer.

      Regards,

The day in question when I didn’t show up is I told you I had to load all the crews up and the forklift was giving us problems and ended up having to rent a machine.  I apologize you are upset about this.   But yo did tell me they was not capable.   I even told them so when you called ****** he said you said you wasn’t talking about him that it was ******.   So we all was trying to help you complete your job you wanted.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I have not had any conversation at all with Mr. ******** since November 24.  That was the problem.  He just did not show when he said he would and he did not respond to repeated attempts to contact him by phone, text, email and his website.  He never offered any explanation.
Last time I spoke to Mr. ******** was November 24th when he said he had all the materials he needed and would redo the job himself on November 30.  I worried he should not try to do it alone.  He said he planned to bring ****** with him to help. I have had no contact with him since then.
None of Mr. ********’s workers were ever a problem for me.  All Mr. ******** ever said on November 24, when they did not show, is that they did not think they could do what he planned to do.  And that is when he said he would just do it himself, with ******’s help, on November 30.  Then he no showed on the 30th.
I did speak with ****** once.  He was on a fishing trip and said he really did not know anything, as he had been away, but he did not think his father was sick.  At that point I mainly was trying to find out if Mr. ******** was OK and asked ****** to please ask his father to contact me.
****** seemed to think he and ****** were supposed to run water on the roof to see if the leak was fixed but I told him there was no point in doing that as his father planned to redo the repair.
I wish Mr. ******** had responded to my repeated attempts to contact him.  I actually worried about him.  I was concerned something had happened to him.  Since I spoke to him on November 24, when he said he would redo the repair on November 30, he has never contacted me to offer any explanation or information at all about anything.
I believe it is poor business practice to no show and then just disappear from your customers.  People should know that about this company.

      Regards,

      ****** *******

I’m sorry you feel this way.   You hired us to do a job after you said another roofer messed up and we did a awesome job on it.   After that you wanted another job done.  I seen it and didn’t want nothing to do with it because I knew it was something you wouldn’t want to deal with. I explained that the only way I could do it is put flashing on outside of your asbestos siding and you would have to get a carpenter to install a trim board over it and seal it.  It was under a 2 foot overhang so it would never see weather.  Then you decided to not do the trim board and leave the shiny metal exposed.  I told you that would be so ugly.  You said you didn’t care   I didnt  wanna do the job but I did anyway and made you a kick out flashing which all inspectors require that.  I charged you 600 dollars which is what materials and labor only   I did that to help you out.  Your other roofer did not leave no overhang which is a major problem for a roof.   Also every splice on the entire roof has nails in it.  All your nails is rusted.  The roof is not done correctly to start with.  You made my guy cut the kick out flashing off saying it didn’t need it.  You was telling us how to do it and saying we didn’t do this when I watched it be done.  I even offered you the 600 dollars back.   You declined that saying you know we needed money.  I ordered some more materials and was gonna attempt to do what you wanted which could have got me in a world of trouble cutting asbestos and me being exposed to it after getting rid of COVID then my forklift broke that morning and you called back to back and I couldn’t answer.  I run over a hundred employees and I stay super busy.  I can not talk on phone every day for hours at a time.  I’m sorry you don’t accept the response but I’m open to whatever you want to put this behind us.  Thanks John

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I am not going to attempt to respond to this rant.  Mr. ******** and I do not remember things the same and some of his response I don’t remember at all or what he is talking about.
What won’t go away is the fact **** did not show up and did not respond to any of my efforts to contact him by phone, text, email or his website.
That is not a good way to run a business.  Future customers need to know **** may just disappear without any explanation.
Going forward I suggest Mr. ******** tell his customers when he cannot keep an appointment and explain why.  Don’t just disappear and ignore the customer until a BBB complaint is filed.
It’s too late now.  I don’t think this matter can be resolved.
