I had an eye exam on 1/26/2024 and paid $162. My insurance covering eye care is simple and doesn't need to be "processed". When I left, I was told the balance was paid in full. I have a bill for $16.82. While this is not a lot of money, I am not paying this. I do not what this charge is for and i do not wish to speak to the ****** or any staff there. During my exam, the doctor had some issues with some lenses and complained to his assistant saying, "this is why I hate doing these exams". He used medical terms that I did not understand and was annoyed with the questioned I asked. I still do not know what is wrong with my vision. I do need glasses, so after the exam, I saw the opticians. That experience was horrid. They discriminate against people with insurance and no insurance If you have insurance, they force you to buy the most expensive frames and lenses on the market. I was specifically told that I cannot get a cheaper frame or lens because I have insurance. When I politely repeated the statement back word for word to make sure I understood, the optician was upset, said she doesn't need this, and go the manager. The manager is a fast talker. She explained everything thing, didn't offer a choice, entered all in the computer and asked when I want to pick up my glasses. At that point I didn't order anything thig. The quote for the lenses and frames was about $800 and because I have insurance must get the top name brand frames and lenses. I nicely declined, left, and cried in my car. Emotions were high because I never felt so bullied in a doctor's ****** before. I am not paying this $16.82 and asking the BBB's help in telling them to write off the charge. What made it worse for me was that I when to this eye care group in July 2023 and LOVED them. The doctor I saw is no longer there and this new doctor is abrasive.Initial Complaint

I purchased glasses on 9/19/23. The total amount was $359. They charged my insurance and I paid the remainder. Within a month the glass frames had came so lose I had to return to have them tighten them. Within the next month they came lose again. I was able to bring them in after several weeks of me not having my glasses on December 14, 23. The lady working the glass section was very unpolite. And explained to me the glasses were broke. Which is clearly a defect on the way they were made. And explained I would have to pay another 50$ for another pair of frames. This has been less than 3 months. And I've been there twice. She very rudely said. I'm just the messenger. I asked for a printout and have tried numerous times to contact the company to no prevail. But this is what I find on the company's website.
