I called AAA on 3/1/2024 at 8:02 am and spoke with them for 45 minutes. During this time we discovered that my account was set to auto renew without my knowledge or consent. they said they would reverse the charges which posted to my account on 3/5 for $121.00. I have not received a refund for this. I expressed my anger and disappoint to their practices. I was promised a refund within 10 business days. I have never gotten a refund.Business response

A refund was mailed out to ************************* on 03/15/2024 for $121 for the *** Membership that was cancelled. check was issued 03/15/2024 the check was mailed to the address on file ***************************************************

I renewed my AAA membership July 2023. August 4, 2023 I locked my keys in my car while in **. I called AAA three times starting at 5:15 pm. Twice I was given approximate times someone would come. The third call I was told he would try to get it expedited. No one came. at 10:30 pm I called someone to come get me. All AAA is willing to offer is an apology. An apology to an 80 year old female who is left stranded while 500 miles from home isn't acceptable.Business response

Upon receipt of the above referenced BBB complaint, we reviewed the documentation that our member submitted with her complaint and contacted our sister AAA Club in ******* for their documentation of the service calls in question.
Unfortunately, our member was not provided the service she was ***********. We have voiced our displeasure with the ******* AAA Club that one of our members was left stranded in their territory.
I spoke with our member this week and informed her that we would be providing a free AAA Membership at her next renewal. I have also provided her with my contact information should she have any additional concerns.
Once again, we would like to extend our apologies to our member for any service related issues she encountered and request that she contact me if she has any other questions regarding this matter.

On November 28, 2021, AAA hired a tow company that destroyed the radiator on my Mercedes CLS 500 ($928 worth of damage). My car was dropped off at the repair company on December 7, 2021. AAA did not pay for the damages until 2 months later. So for 2 months I was left without transportation. From November 28, 2021 - January 24, 2022, I was without a car. Ridiculous right? AAA did not provide, nor did they even offer me a rental car during this time and now they refuse to compensate me for the inconvenience I experienced. AAA refuses to compensate me for gas, rides to and from work, events during the holidays, and all the things one needs transportation for. Did I mention that in addition to my full-time job, I am a freelance photographer who had on location photo gigs? I missed out on holiday photography opportunities because I did not have a vehicle before nor after Christmas, which is usually when I take photos for Christmas cards and work as an event photographer during the holidays. Anyway, when I called the AAA Resolutions Department on January 26, they told me that they were not responsible for my inconvenience although I had waited on a check, which they made SEVERAL broken promises to deliver. Week after week I was told by ***** ***** that "the check in on the way", and week after week there was no check. So, imagine my anger when I was told by the Resolutions Department that AAA was not responsible for my inconvenience. They told me to take up any issues I had with the tow company...the tow company that THEY hired! How rude, insensitive and inconsiderate! Last I checked I am NOT a customer of the tow company. I do not pay the tow company a membership fee! AAA represents me and I had absolutely nothing to do with the incompetent/unprofessional tow company that they hired!!! I need the company to put themselves in my shoes. How would anyone feel? How would YOU feel? Member# XXX XXX XXXXXXXXXXBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/02/25) */ This customer is a member of The Auto Club Group and not AAA Missouri. However, we reached out to that Club for an update on this complaint. A complaint was filed for Ms. ****** 11/29/2021 for damage done to her vehicle during a tow. ***** ****** worked the complaint and ultimately the station was found liable for the damages on January 4th. A check for $928.92 was requested. There were issues with the member getting the payment for the damages. A second check was requested to be sent out on January 21st. Member made social media complaints about not receiving her payment so a Service Monitor reached back out to Ms. ****** Jan 31st but was unable to reach her. A Product Specialist reached out again to Ms. ****** on Feb 6th regarding Social Media post. Unable to reach member. ***** ****** will have a stop payment issued on the January 21st check and re-issue one to be sent via overnight service. If the member has further questions or issues, please reach out to ***** ****** at the Auto Club Group, XXX-XXX-XXXX.
