I received 4 calls between 7am and 8:40am on 5/23/24 from Franklin service saying i owed for a medical bill of $30. I explained to the caller that was not correct and i worked for the medical facility in question. I got a email for the buisness office at my facility to communicate with them(*******************************) i was also given a case# of *********. I was assured by the first caller these calls to my office would stop so they could provide info. I was called back an hour later by a 2nd caller who was female. The caller asked me why i refused to pay my bill in the beginning of the call. I told the caller i did not appreciate the way she was speaking tome and i told her i had just talked to another caller an hour before her. She got even more rude and even burped into the phone which she said was recorded. I told her my phone was monitored as well and she hung up. I got a 3rd call within 10 minutes of the 2nd, a male caller, who did listen and said he saw on his notes the bill was being disputed. I made a complaint against the 2nd caller to him & the 3rd call i had received this morning. I have never gotten a bill or notification of any of this until this point. These calls are harassing, please help!

In 2021, I agreed to change my TV services to ATT Direct TV thinking I was getting a better rate. The young lady in Costco assured me there would be no penalty after inquiring about it. After one year the bill doubled and of course I cancelled, all my monthly bills were completely paid in full, yet after some months, I received a bill for $217.00 for early cancellation. I called to explain, no one was listening. After several collection agencies Franklin Services posted it on my credit. I have been trying to reach them to pay the bill, the recording ask for a account number, I never had one. I can only enter a 11 digit number. I have called (662) ******** and (877) ******** and of course their website with the same phone number. I just want this off my credit report. I do not have any documentation from this bill.

Immediately upon receipt of this complaint a supervisor attempted to call the debtor with no response, again several calls later and no answer or response from the debtor. She can call Customer Service at 888-******** or 877-******** or 877-******** or 877-******** or 662-******** or 888-******** and someone will be able to assist them in addressing their concerns.  AT&T does reflect the charges to be from an early termination fee. Thank you.

FSI received the account for collection from the original creditor, AT&T, on or about 2/02/2023 for a U-verse debt in the amount of $163.01 for service that was provided for appx 3 years from 12/2018 until 11/03/2021 at **** ******* ***** *** ****** **. Mail was sent and none was returned by the post office and calls placed with no response from the debtor. AT&T reflects the monthly bills were paid during that time and the balance is a non-returned equipment fee of $164.03 and the final bill had a credit balance of $1.02 leaving the balance due of $163.01. We have reached out to AT&T and obtained proof of the debt and have forwarded that info to the debtor for their review. FSI reflects it is reporting correctly to the credit reporting agencies. Thank you.

On May 17th, 2023, I received an alerts from my credit reporting agencies via the online monitoring service that my credit rating has changed. I watched as my score dropped from a 799 FICO down to a 688 FICO. I have had an 850 to 760 FICO score that I have watched go up and down and pride for about 20 years. Soon after an account was listed by Franklin Collection Service of Tupelo, MS. I called and spoke to ****** who informed me that the account was from a Direct TV service account that I had in Texas. I live in Maryland. The last time I lived in Texas was for both basic training in the Air Force some 20 plus years and technical training school. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was connected to Mr. *********** ******** who advised me to send a copy of the debt for dispute to them along with a copy of my driver's license. We ended the call and this email was sent to them within 5 minutes of the call. (Copies Attached as Evidence) THIS IS FRAUD RELATED Backstory: Direct TV turned an account over for collections to Franklin, of which Direct TV appears to have awarded cable service to this random person in Texas with my SSN, obviously picked up off some dark websites. I think this due to some problems in the past which I have a Credit Freeze on my credit reports, which had Direct TV used those reporting channels prior to creating the account, they would have been alerted of fraud. Not only did I dispute with my credit bureaus as Franklin requested thinking this was the end of it, now I just received word today via Experian that Franklin has doubled down on the claim by reporting back against my dispute and my reports now shows Updated and Verified as Accurate Debt! This is insane! My report has been ruined and so has my score by this event. I will be filing a separate complaint on Direct TV as a follow-up to this mater.

Direct TV Debt:  Some (looks to be a person of unknown citizenship status down in Texas stealing cable services with my SSN).  Complaining of deceptive practices in collecting debts with limited information found via their attempts to skip trace the debtor. Franklin added not only the debt to my report but updated my address to the current debtor's address on record, a violation of Fair Credit Reporting Act as when reporting debts to the 3 agencies, you are attesting to truly establishing the debt prior to reporting, which they have not.

I am requesting all documents form Franklin to establish the debt. This would include my signature on the account and any and all details they have as "fact of record". I want to see what details they have as this is clearly identity theft which should have been investigated. I do not think the agency has the appropriate financial resources to withstand such illegal operating standards in its collecting practices.

They should be investigated as a result of the operating methodologies, which clearly are a violation of US Federal Law.

I reached an agreement with the company and spoke to ***** *** at ext ****. We agreed that the debt would be paid on March 10th, 2023. After several weeks I noticed the funds hadn't been taken out. I called Franklin Services, Inc and they explained I was charged $25 NSF fee. I explained that I disagree with that because the funds were on the account. They explained that they charged it once @5am, then again later that day. The second time they charged the account it was flagged by my bank as potential fraud. After approving the charge on my end with the bank, Franklin Services say they did not attempt to charge my account again - or the charge did not go through. They are refusing to resolve the issue and charge the NSF fee, when that is inaccurate. I called and spoke with "**" - who was very rude and wanted to talk over me and accuse me of approving the charging "knowing you didn't have the funds" - grossly offensive. I called back twice to speak with a manager, the call was disconnected both times (after I identified myself, so they knew it was me, and still disconnected the call). When I finally got a Supervisor, I spoke with "Mr. ******", who refused to settle this, and listen to me clearly explain what happened. I even offered to bring my bank on the line so they can prove the funds were in there and that I approved the charge. They still refused to settle and remove the charge. My hopes are to get someone to mediate this issue, and have the NSF removed from my account so I can settle with the amount we agreed to and pay the debt.

I have spoken with the Collection Manager, and they have agreed to dismiss the NSF fee of $25 and allow the debtor to pay the original settlement amount of $79.66 to settle the debt in full. This will be honored until April 17th. Please have Mr. ******* send an email to [email protected] notifying us once this has been taken care of, please include the name as it appears on the account, the FSI case number and last 4 digits of the account holders SSN so we will know to adjust the balance for them, or they can call in and speak to a supervisor at 800********* and let someone know it is done so they can adjust the account appropriately. Thank you.

This complaint is in regard to an erroneous balance that Franklin Services says I owe DIRECTV in the amount of $483.32. I have spent countless hours calling various departments within Franklin Services as well as DIRECTV to try to resolve this issue to no avail. Here are the facts: I am a former employee of DIRECTV, having worked there for 7 years as a manager and as part of my work duties, I regularly had to test offers in the internal ATT/DTV systems; however, at NO POINT did I ever install DIRECTV satellite service, sign up for ANY DTV/ATT services or products, or request a service call to my premises for any type of installation (to indicate an active account once existed). Suddenly, in the last month, I am getting repeated, harrassing calls from a debt collector in the amount listed above. Frankly, I have no idea what this is for. If anyone took the time to look into my customer history, it will reveal that I never had a satellite installed in my home, nor did I have receivers activated. This should all be notated in the customer account, but no one is able to help me. All the agents do is try to send me to another department or agent - after many hours I am convinced that this is simply the finger-pointing runaround game. DTV says the balance has been handed off to a debt collect, but the debt collector tells me they have no visibility into my account. Today I spoke to a DTV billing specialist who told me that my SSN doesn't match what he has in his system so he cannot assist me, but the strange thing is that my phone number, previous home address and name all match - which leads me to believe this is FRAUD. Does this mean that my credit will be negatively impacted? I need resolution asap, but no one know how to help or has any authority to do anything.
