I signed a contract on 01/10/22 with ***** ******* agreeing to remove existing shower and install new shower including tiles surrounding tub and steps. He agreed to start the job on 01/12/22. He asked for $410.00 to purchase materials to start not including the tiles. I paid him $410.00 on 01/10/22. On 01/12/22 ***** ******* didn't show up. I took off work to be home so.he could start. After calling him he stated he was working on a home in Vicksburg that wanted more work done and he wanted to finish it before starting. He assured me he would start that Saturday. On Saturday 01 /15 22 after he not showing up at 830 as promised I called him he alleged his truck had broken down and he had to get it repaired and would come after he git it repaired. He showed up around 2. He tore out the tile and pleaded with me to pay him 800.00 because he needed to get work done for his truck so he could have transportation to get to the jobs. . The contract stated I was to pay $600.00 upon starting so I paid him $600.00. . He promised he would return Monday January 18th to finish. On the 18th he didn't show up. I called him he said it would be wednesday 01/20/22. He didn't show up. I called and text he didn't answer. . When he finally called back he said leave him a key do he could come in while I'm working and finish. I explained no I couldn't give a stranger a key to my house. He cursed me and said he would finish when he could.. then he called and said he would come on Saturday 01/24/22 no show. AFTER getting him in the phone he said it was to cold he would come Monday he never showed. Finally he said he would Come Saturday 01 29/22. When I called tonight he cursed and told me that he wasn't worried about doing ____ just dont worry about the rest of the contract. He haven't done any of the work nor provided any of the material I gave money for. The total contact was for $1610.00 Mr ******* has taken 1110.00 and provided no work. He has torn my bathroom up
