I ordered a delivery of bedding sand from S&N Concrete. They sent a dump truck to my property with the sand. In the process of the delivery, the driver backed over a clean-out for my septic line, shattering the **** This happened despite my explicit warning to the driver about the clean-out that was located behind his truck. The driver apologized and told me that he had misunderstood my warning. He said he would tell the office that it was his fault.Fast forward a few days and I had still not heard from the business. I called and asked about the issue. They put me in touch with a manager and his response was that they needed to "look into it" and "speak with the driver". More time passed after this call and I did not hear back.Finally I did get a call from the president of the company. His first words, after introducing himself, was that "First and foremost, the bill for the sand delivery needs to be paid and I understand you haven't done that" (paraphrasing, I don't remember the entire sentence verbatim). I informed him that a) I had not yet received an invoice and b) I was waiting for them to propose a mutually agreeable solution to my damaged property. He would not commit to fixing the issue, compensating me, or even sending someone out to look at the damage. I pressed him on it and he said he would get back to me.***** passed and I never heard anything more from the business. Eventually I received an invoice in the mail for the sand delivery, no mention of the damage, no proposal for resolution, and no apology was ever issued. After enough time passed I decided to fix the crushed clean out myself by buying the necessary parts and putting in the labor. I recorded my time, assigned a market rate to it, and included the cost of materials and send an invoice to the business. The invoice gave S&N credit for the sand delivery and asked for payment for the balance.I have not received any payment but I continue to get invoiced monthly for the sand with interest.
