My husband was in a vehicle accident on February 23, 2023 in ********, ******* while he was there for work. We live in ************.The tow company recommended this body shop and he had good reviews online,State Farm adjuster came out and did an estimate for 20k and paid the body shop.It was supposed to be a 6-8 week repair.14 weeks in, it still wasn't done and he had no good reason as to why. Every time we would inquire as to when it would be done he added another 2 weeks. On week 15. I had the insurance call the body shop since us calling wasn't getting us anywhere. They told him he needed to provide an estimate of what still needed done and a check for the work to be completed in **.The body shop owner then text me and flipped out on me about me contacting the insurance, saying I was making him "look bad" to State Farm. I saved all the messages. My husband's job was over and he was supposed to pick up the vehicle on June 26. He had to stay in ******* two extra days because it wasn't ready for pick up until June 28. He did provide an estimate and gave us a check for 5k which he claimed would take care of whatever needed finished. We've taken the vehicle to two body shops in ** and BOTH said there is WELL over 5k of work left to be done and the work he did do was done so poorly it would need re-done. They also said if he had submitted supplemental repairs to State Farm for items not on the original estimate like he should have they may have just totaled the vehicle. The insurance will not pay for the repairs they already paid for OR to have his work fixed. The insurance and both body shops recommended getting an attorney because ********* took the money from State Farm and did not complete the work and the work they did do was horrible.I want a full refund of the rest of the estimate or I'm contacting an attorney.

********* Autobody Solutions and their lawyer reached out to me offering to refund me some of the money ($5800) in additional the 5k they already gave me if I withdraw by complaint and remove my negative reviews.  I have not responded yet because I am waiting to hear what State Farm is going to pay. They sent me a statement indicating that they will not pay for anything on the original estimate or to fix any of ********* work (statement attached).

I took the Jeep to the dealership to have a full estimate done of what it would take to fix the vehicle and in it's current state the preliminary estimate was 33k (attached - please see the note on page 5 about Keehners awful repair work).  When I followed up with them this morning it was up to 38k of damage.

Once Hillview submits their estimate to State Farm, the State Farm estimate team will review it and if the supplemental repair costs combined with the original estimate total equal more than the value of the vehicle they will total it. Hillview is working on providing it but they said its going to take them some time because they have to go through both estimates line by line.

State Farm would not say for sure because they havent actually deemed it totaled yet but they said if it is deemed totaled they will likely subtract the original 20k they paid out on the claim from the total amount of the loss and write us a check for the difference.

State Farm stated that their adjuster approved the original estimate based on what they could see visible.  They said that Keehners should have disassembled the vehicle, and notated additional repairs needed, additional time needed to do the repairs and submitted all of that as supplemental to State Farm which he did not do.

********* failed to submit the proper supplemental documentation to the insurance that could have totaled the vehicle from the very beginning.  Then instead of being honest with us about not being able to complete the work, he gave us the run around for MONTHS.  We have texts from him in April claiming it would be done by the end of that month.  We have been making $420/month payments on a vehicle we havent been able to drive since February.  My husband had to stay out of town longer because of *******.  My husband wasnt able to come home for Easter (first Easter hes ever missed with his children).  He wasnt able to come home for Memorial Day.If we did not have family currently helping us and allowing us to use their vehicle, we would either be paying out of pocket for a rental car or my husband would be unable to work.  He is the primary source of income for our family.

I am not willing to accept any offer from ******* until I know if the vehicle is being deemed totaled and what the insurance is willing to give us.

      Thank you.

We did not pay ******* directly, State Farm paid ***************  ******* failed to submit the supplemental repairs and repair costs to the insurance that could have totaled the vehicle from the very beginning.  We have texts from him in April (attached) saying it would be done the end of that month.  My husband had to stay out of town much longer than he intended because ******* did not have the vehicle done.  We had no choice but to pick up the vehicle when we did because my husbands job was over.  It was in horrible condition when we picked it up and there is well over the 5k of damage he claimed.  The work he did was so bad it has to be re-done.  I have a statement from State Farm indicating they will not pay to fix his work (attached).  The Hillview estimator included a note about the horrible work he did as well (attached).  Another body shop I took to it also said it was the worst work they've seen - I will get a statement from them as well if I need to.

If the insurance decides to total the vehicle they said they will likely subtract the original almost 20k they already paid out on our claim which is why I am seeking an additional refund from ***************

Please see attached report from the Jeep Dealership I received this morning detailing the extent of the existing damage to the vehicle, all of the supplemental repairs that ******* failed to turn it (that likely would have totaled our vehicle to begin with) and detailing all the work that needs re-done because ******* did not properly fix it in the first place.  His reasoning for not giving us a full refund of the insurance money was because the parts he used were good.  Well, as you can see from this report multiple parts were missing, wrong or need replaced because of the poor quality work he did on them.

******* claimed that there was only 5k of damage left on the vehicle when he returned it to us - as you can see that was a complete lie and I feel strongly that he knew that.  He has been unprofessional and unethical.

      Thank you

State Farm has totaled our vehicle and provided a resolution for us on their end so after months of stress and anxiety over this situation we can finally move on from it.  I am not accepting anything from ******************  I want to keep my complaint visible and my reviews posted to warn others.

He did not submit the supplemental repair documentation to State Farm. Submitting supplemental repairs should be standard practice.

He gave us the run around for months about when the vehicle would be done, causing my husband to have to stay out of state longer.

He claimed there was only 5k of damage left to the vehicle, but there was actually enough damage left for them to total it.

The repairs he did were so bad, one body shop wouldn't even accept our business to correct them. State Farm acknowledged they were horrible (documentation provided).  The Jeep Dealership spent a whole day preparing a detailed estimate of the awful repair work (documentation provided).

Mr.****** is either horrible at his job or he deliberately tried to rip us off.  I'm not sure which.
