Reserved a room for my family around June 24th for two nights. Showed up and decided not to stay due to the unhealthy environment. They still charged us for the room, ended up charging us an additional $159 for a third night that was never in the reservation on top of the over $200 for the reservation we didnt use. They refused to refund us. Started a complaint with choice and then talked to the hotel. They said theyd refund the money. They never have. Ive called multiple times and always get the run around. We want to be refunded and would never recommend this sketchy hotel. It was completely unsafe for my children. They never gave me a receipt due to their printer not working and they never emailed me one when I asked for it. When we do call the hotel, we always get the run around that the owners are never around.Initial Complaint

On March 24, 2023- March 26, 2023 we decided to rent a hotel room at the Econo Lodge in ********. During our stay we ran into numerous problems I will list below: First we were sent to one room which wasn't clean yet even though we got there at 430 pm and then the bathroom flooded so they switched us to another room after we stood in the hallway for over 10 minutes.Cigarette ***** in the blankets even though its a non smoking hotel.We only had 2 working outlets in the room.No screen on windows on second floor (atleast in our room) we had small children with us.No phone in our room.But the absolute worse part was the people in the room next door, they were obviously on drugs, playing loud music, partying, up alllll night fighting. at one point we thought the lady in the room was being murdered! I'm not even joking. Absolutely horrifying and felt so unsafe. We got zero rest and no sleep whatsoever!! The hotel is so scary and so noisy.Initial Complaint

I work for the *********** and I travel a lot, during my visit to ********, ** rooms were full at the normal hotel and surrounding hotels so I ended up going to the Econo Lodge at the recommendation of the owner of Comfort Inn which said they should have availability. The rooms were filthy with drug users coming in and out of the establishment. After about two hours of sitting in my room wondering what I have I settled for, someone kept banging on my door trying to get in. After the second attempt to get into my room, I opened my door because I am a retired officer that happens to work for the ***********. It was the manager. She was screaming, saying that no one was supposed to be in the room. I explained to her that I checked in about two hours earlier. I went with her to the from desk. She validated that I was indeed supposed to be in the room. She apologized and said that because of the disturbance she and her staff have caused me, that he would gladly refund me at checkout. Upon checking out the following morning, the manager indeed said that he would refund me the points that I booked the room with. I waited two weeks, no points were restored. Today 3/24/23 I called to inquire what happened? The gentleman that answered said that he is the owner and I will not get anything and hung up. I called back, I asked why was he being rude? He hung up again. So I am filing this complaint to get what was promised to me, and I am calling the local ***********Initial Complaint

Arrived at hotel to check in at 3PM 29 April 22. Checked in at counter and the attendant said the room would be ready shortly. We waited 30 mins and that room still wasnt ready so they moved us to a different room, entering that room it was filthy, dirty plates, towels on the floor etc. talked to the counter attendant again and she said theyd have the room cleaned ASAP. They would not let us cancel since cancellation is prior to 11. We told her wed get something to eat and do some running around and she assured us it would be ready. I called the hotel at 7 and she said it was ready. Arrived back at the hotel at 8 and the room was still be cleaned. She assured us it was almost ready. After waiting another hour she told us the cleaner was finished. The room was very haphazardly cleaned, multiple furnishings were broken (ie lamp, bed, dresser) and the room was in a state of disrepair. The attendant said she could nothing about a refund and told us to talk to management in the morning.I talked to the new counter attendant in the morning and she rudely informed me that we signed the sheet and there was no refund or any compensation.I am not looking for a full refund but I should be compensated for not being able to use a room I was paying for
