1-20-23 I took my truck to **** and they looked it over for an estimate and they miss diagnosed the problem and sent the wrong pictures to insurance and got the claim denied. They said that they tried twice with insurance but they didnt manage to see or notice that the grille shutter fan was closed or damaged from wreck and ran my truck and now the check engine light is on and turbos throwing codes. They refuse to make it right or fix the problem they caused by running the truck without coolant or opening those grille shutter fan and now there is more problems. They just told me to get my truck and never come back when I asked them to fix it and said contact our attorney.

September 25, 2021 Paid $52,868.88 to Archie Cochrane Ford for a 2018 **** F150. (VIN - *****************)At the time of purchase, Archie Cochrane Ford salesman, *********************, assured us that the vehicle had no accidents and his business conducted a thorough inspection of all their vehicles prior to selling them.We took ****************** assurance that the vehicle we were purchasing was accident free and had been fully inspected for damages.About October, we noticed the front tires had worn significantly on the inside edges. We assumed they were old or low quality.Sometime after the tire issue, we noticed water leaking into the cab from the passenger side near the front door during the first precipitation.During a change in insurance companies, we were informed that our insurance rates would be increased. We questioned the insurer (Progressive) as to the increase and were informed that the vehicle we purchased from Archie Cochrane Ford had been in an accident.Progressive informed us that our vehicle had "Snapshot" in the vehicle. We have never been enrolled in Snapshot.Progressive also believed we were the original owners of the vehicle and thought we were the owners at the time of the accident. We were not aware of any accidents for this vehicle and were not the owners when the vehicle was involved in an accident.Due to the tire issue, the leaking on the passenger side, and the information from Progressive, we purchased a Carfax report on our vehicle. The Carfax report showed our vehicle had sustained "Severe" damage. We have made several telephone calls to ********************* and a Manager. They have made offers that are far too low to be acceptable. At the date of the Carfax they offered us $32,000 but the vehicle was worth $40,000 and is still valued at $38,000.Archie Cochrane knowingly sold us a severely damaged vehicle while claiming that it was accident free. Their inspection should have shown the damage the vehicle sustained.

      Customer response

      05/03/2022

In response to ***********************, General Sales Manager, and Archie Cochrane Ford:

I reject the response from Archie Cochrane Ford and *********************** for the following reasons:

****************** neglected to include in the documents he submits, nor does he mention, the retail installment contract which establishes the amount of monthly payments and number of months for the purchase of the vehicle involved in this matter.
****************** instead submits an Archie Cochrane Form that notes the cash price of the vehicle, with a "Settlement" section stating the allowance for trade-in, less balance owing to, net equity, total credits, etc.
This document states an unpaid cash balance due on delivery of $47,489.00
******************, who has years of experience in selling vehicles, states he has no idea where the amount of $52,868.88 came from.
The amount of $52,868.88 comes from the purchase price, plus interest and fees, associated with the retail installment contract that Archie Cochrane Ford presented to me from the finance institution that Archie Cochrane Ford secured for this sale.
I do not understand how or why ****************** would not be fully aware of where the amount of $52,868.88 came from.
This portion of the response from *********************** is an attempt to distract from the issue of selling damaged goods and demonstrates the disingenuous treatment I received from Archie Cochrane Ford and continue to receive from the company.

Also, *********************** fails to directly address my complaints by stating that nothing can be verified.
As long as Archie Cochrane Ford continues in their dishonest treatment of this issue they hope to avoid taking responsibility and accountability for their bad business dealings.
*************************** statement along with his failure to respond directly to the listed complaints shows Archie Cochrane Ford has no truthful and honest response to make.
Archie Cochrane Ford should not be allowed to conduct business in a dishonest manner and hide behind a statement that nothing can be verified.

Archie Cochrane Ford's salesperson touted their inspection of vehicles in their inventory.
Yet somehow there was severe damage to the vehicle sold to me despite the assurance from the salesperson that there was no accident to report on this vehicle.
Again, the specific details provided by me were not responded to by ***********************.

The offer made my Archie Cochrane Ford was insufficient as it was significantly lower than the value of the vehicle at the time of this initial complaint.

This is our daily use vehicle.  The value of the vehicle will continue to decrease with use.

We've submitted an acceptable resolution to this matter in our original complaint.  Archie Cochrane Ford fails to offer a reasonable resolution to this problem.

      Complaint: 17015577

I am rejecting this response because:

      Sincerely,

      ******* ************************

At this point, from the response that was received, We would be more than happy to look at this vehicle for issues and address the concerns of it leaking and the alignment.
We will also do another appraisal when it is here. *************** would like the full amount of purchase, plus his negative equity from his traded vehicle and all the total accumulated  interest over 72 months.  We will work with him on the value of the vehicle he purchased, not the negative equity or the total dollar amount of interest.
If he would like to come and visit with us about addressing his concerns with the leak and alignment, we'd be happy to do so.

On 9/4/21 I purchased a truck from Archie Cochrane Ford in the amount of $62,350. Initially I declined warranty and gap coverage; at that time *****, the employee handling the finance aspect, told me that if I purchased the coverage I could cancel anytime, no questions asked, and if I came to him directly he would get me the refund directly (cash in my pocket as he said) rather than refunding to the lie holder like most companies do. I never buy warranties but based on what he said I decided to purchase coverage, knowing that if I did choose to cancel I could get the cash back directly. A few months later I decided to cancel the coverage and was informed the refund would go back to the lien holder. After receiving horrible customer service and poor communication by various employees and managers, the situation still hasnt been resolved. It appears ***** is purposely lying to customers to sell warranties and pad his commission and the managers are backing this behavior. Not only is it extremely frustrating, but very unethical and needs to be stopped before more customers are purposely mislead and mistreated. I am requesting a refund of $862.50 for prorated gap and $3963.24 prorated warranty.
