    An initial deposit of $775 was made on 3/5/2022. A second deposit of $2,325.00 to Yellowstone Hiking Guides made on 06/07/22 was made with the expectation of a guided multiday backpacking trip in Yellowstone National Park from June *****th, 2022. On June 13th, the entire Yellowstone National Park was closed due to unprecedented flooding the night before. The hiking guide was initially hopeful that we would just need to delay the trip by a day, but it quickly became clear the entire park would remain closed for multiple days (June *****, 2022). A service was not received for the money paid. Our guide (***** **) initially was the one to suggest at least a partial refund due to the extreme circumstances. This discussion happened in person. Upon returning home, a follow-up email was sent to the company on June 20th, 2022 requesting an update on our refund. It was at this time a refund was denied. A credit was at least offered but we are unsure if we financially/logistically will be able to return to the Yellowstone area and use the credit by summer 2023.

    Our tour was on 10/6/22 from 7 am to 3 pm. We arrived at ************ on 10/5/22. Next morning got up at 5:30am drove about an hour to West Yellowstone and was at designated parking by 7. Pitch dark and no van! Called their number and got voicemail saying its full and cannot leave msg. At 7:03 emailed them with my cell no. but nobody called. Started driving around thinking we were at wrong place and around 7:20 am saw a van looking like theirs, followed it and it went to the location we were at 7 a.m.! Told the driver why they are late and she said well, you don't have to go!! I asked her whether can get a refund and she said she does not have any money on her and will refund our money (over $500! booked by our agent). We left therefore. Here is why they get a 0 rating: They are not refunding saying that is their policy and their driver did not offer us a refund and saying they were there on time... Here is another fact: why would we drive an hour the day after arrival, pitch dark and choose to not go and forfeit our money? If we wanted to forfeit we would have not driven an hour there and an hour back!They were not there at 7 as we were instructed for a 7-3 tour. We got lucky to even find them 20 minutes later and they offered us a refund which then they said they did not. They cannot be trusted.
