          On October 6, 2016, BBB received a Scam Tracker report, Information only Complaint and several inquiries regarding Broker Group of Montana.  According to Broker Group Montana’s website they offer financial brokerage, securities and investment advice.  BBB could not find this business registered as a brokerage firm with FINRA or Montana Securities division.  According to consumer reports, consumers allege this company offers to buy and resale timeshares.  Reports indicate this company calls consumers directly indicating they have a buyer waiting to purchase their timeshare.  According to Montana Secretary of State, the company bought and transferred the assumed business name on 8/20/2016.  According to WHOis, their website was created on 7/6/2016.

          BBB called the company for more information.  The company stated to BBB their office was located on the third floor of 1 N. Last Chance Gulch, Helena, MT.  BBB confirmed this address belongs to the landlord of that building.  BBB also confirmed Broker Group of Montana is not located in the building.  BBB asked their broker about their securities brokerage license, however the broker could not tell me his license number and said he primarily dealt with the buying and selling of timeshares.  He then transferred me to their brokerage division.  BBB asked again for their CRD/SEC  number and was provided with numbers that were not related to this company.  

          BBB confirmed with the person that answered the phone that their website is www.brokergroupofmontana.com, and their email is [email protected].  BBB has also sent the company correspondence by mail and email for more information and is awaiting a response.
