Took my 2023 GMC ****** in for warranty work. A repair that was found by their oil change department. They are the only ones that have touched my vehicle in the year that I have owned it. Went in for repairs on 4/29/24. Picked truck up on 4/30/24. At the time of pick up I noticed several conditions that needed attention. Scratch on bumper, upper bumper cap was out of alignment and popping out, wheel opening molding was also sticking out with clips out of place. Discussed this with their service manager he had a combative attitude when discussing this. Brought up past experiences and things that didnt even involve me. I took the truck and got a couple miles away when truck began to over heat. Called them immediately and they sent a tow truck the following day to pick it up. After three more days I picked it back up with some conditions taken care of but further examination was in order. If they let visible conditions go with out regard I had to know what was underneath. I my self am a collision repair tech so I began to take things apart to investigate and uncovered about $2500 worth of damage done to my vehicles. Made them aware of my findings and provided pictures. I have the repair procedure for the work they did. Provided to me by their service manager saying what was all removed on their behalf. I was gonna provide them with an estimate to repair all damages. The owner relayed a message to me through his sales manager. That if its more than a couple hundred dollars that he didnt want to waste my time. I have text threads with service department and sales manager. The sales manager knows me personally and acknowledges in text that he knows I keep my stuff flawless. I just want my truck repaired or people need to know what type of work to expect.

We are well aware of ************** and his concerns. We completed a recall at no cost to ************** and after he picked up the vehicle called us with some mechanical and other concerns about the body of the vehicle. We towed it to the dealership at no cost to the customer and addressed his concerns. My Service Manager hand delivered the vehicle back to him upon completion. We then got multiple messages stating that he wants $2600 for repairs on his vehicle. We do not agree nor do we have any plans on writing a checking to ************** for any amount of money. At this point since ************** so unhappy with Corwin and short of giving him thousands of dollars that we don't owe him, we feel that it is best for him to try another service department.

I am rejecting this response because: their technician recklessly repaired my vehicle and caused 2600 or mor in damages. I stayed my concerns off what was visible at the time with the service manager. I have provided pictures and have text threads with both the sales manager and the service department stating my complaints. Along with the admission of damages so long as they were just a couple hundred dollars. My truck went in for warranty work, not recall work. To a department that is supposed to specialize in these vehicles and I was told I had their highest qualified mechanic on the job. After seeing what was visible I had to take it upon myself, a qualified auto body technician to examine what was underlying and hiding. I bought this truck a year ago from corwin. Its only been serviced by corwin. I trusted them with my investment as do many people out there in this valley only to have it devalued by their neglectful techs. Its sad that their loyalty and appreciation to their customers stops once they drive off the lot. This is not acceptable and they should not get away with this behavior and service standards. I have tried to be calm and talk this out. Its not working.

      Sincerely,

      *********************

Looking for new truck as ours just got totaled in wreck. Needed 1 immediately for business. Corwin had ad stating had new **** silverado on lot. Kept asking for 500$ deposit to hold. I paid deposit, filled out paperwork and told them i was taking train 400 miles from ******** to kalispell to get truck. they said I misunderstood, that truck was few weeks out. I forwarded the email from them stating truck was on lot. I asked for deposit back, and bought truck elsewhere. Has been 2 months, no deposit back and no replies to daily requests from me as to when i get my 500 back.

Bought 2020 **** edge end of March 2023. Told them my issues with previous corwin car I got in 2017 with major issues so now need another. Told me this car passed service "with flying colors" from ******sales manager. Trusted this company and bought the car, boyfriend noticed some shaking when braking when going over 50. I didn't notice. Now I noticed it after taking a road trip, the rotars are def warped, with what seems like new brake pads over warped rotars to sell car. Took im for oil change and to talk about this. Service said sorry we don't test drive vehicles so can't say they are warped. Then how did it pass service!!!!!I got taken advantage of because I am a woman who doesn't know much about vehicles to begin with so it was easy for them to do this to me. I've tried contacting them via email, phone, leaving vm, and the chat function with NO reply. Managers don't give a c*** once rhe car is sold..I wanted to know if my warranties cover this issue or if I'd have to pay out of pocket to replace this. I have two small children and am a single mother taking care of them in this s***** world. I live paycheck to paycheck so I'm very ****** of with the customer service and service department.I'd give negative ten stars if I could. I will be coming in there if I have time to raise h***

I had purchased a 2016 ***** Colorado in July of 2021, when purchased, I also bought an extended warranty for $4,500.00 which they said would cover for 5 years or 100k miles. *** financial person made it a wrap coverage warranty which starts from the manufactures date of manufacture, starting in July of 2016 and expiring December of 2021. Giving me just 6 months of coverage which is not what we discussed. I found out a year later when I wanted to have work done on my pickup that the warranty had expired. Talked with Corwin and they openly admitted that the financial person at that time had made that mistake on multiple sales and he is no longer in finances. ***y offered no resolution and I have talked with them many times to figure out an option. Essentially them making the mistake cost me an extra $6500.00 because I also had to put gap insurance on the loan. But the fact they admitted their team member made these mistakes multiple times is concerning and I have talked with other customers that had the same issue, so far none of us have gotten anywhere with Corwin. To me, it feels like a scam operation they are running.

      Hi,
I filed a complaint against Corwin motors in Kalispell MT assigned number 20213473.
I received notification that *************************** was researching this incident and would get back to me. Soon I got a response that said Corwin motors had responded but there was no message from Corwin only the message from ***** that said he was looking into this complaint, and that I needed to respond within seven days. The only option that would let me select was this is acceptable.

This issue has not been resolved and I have had no response from corwin. Please let me know what went wrong in this process and what we can do to fix it.

      Sincerely,

I purchased a vehicle from Corwin on July 11, 2022 after putting a payment of $500 down on July 9 to hold it until I secured a loan. After purchase, I went in to the *** to register my vehicle on August 16, 2022 to register my vehicle and was told that the title provided by the dealership was not the most recent title issued for that vehicle and that another title was issued after mine was sent in to them. I went to the dealership and they provided me with a longer temporary plate and told me to call them if I didn't hear anything about it in 60 days. I thought this timeline was a little ridiculous and checked back the following week (August 23) to see if they had any updates. The response I got was that they would figure it out and contact me when they had solved the issue. They checked in with me again on August 30 to say that the title would be ready the following week. After that, I heard nothing about the title until I sent them a message about it on September 11 asking if they had any more updates. When I did not get a response to this message, I sent an email to the ** of Corwin telling him what happened and asking him to help me resolve the issue. I never got a response from him, but the salesman texted me on September 13 to say that their accounting ***** was still working on the issue and it would hopefully be solved by the following week. Today is now September 20 and I have heard nothing more from them. I just checked my title status on the *** website and it is still saying that it was returned to sender on July 22 because it needed more information. I am seeking to resolve this situation that I feel has gone on for a ridiculous amount of time in waiting for my title.

      ****************,

I apologize for my delayed response as I just got back into town yesterday. I also apologize that our follow up has been below standard. I have done some research and the delay was we had to request a duplicate title because the title we had was the title previous to most current title.

I checked the website this morning, and it looks like the docs have been received at the *** this morning. You are good to go and register your vehicle.

Once again, we apologize for the delay.

I bought a used truck and the warranty from Corwin Chevrolet May 4, 2022. After one week of owning it, it started idling very low and shaking. I called and dropped it off to be looked at after having it for 2 weeks. It sat on their lot for a week until they looked at it. ***** in the service department called me and told me it was a very serious issue with the timing chain. It sat on the lot for a long time and they never brought it in to fix it. I finally called after another 2 weeks and had it switched over to Corwin Honda. They worked on it for a few weeks and I called them to find out any update because no one was informing me of what was happening. They told me it was ready to pick up so I went and got it. When I turned it on in the parking lot, the check engine light was still on. I did not even drive it off the lot and went right back in to talk to the manager. He said he thought they cleared it and said to just leave it there so they can look at it. They gave me a loaner for another week or so. They called to say the oil pressure was too low and the engine needed to be replaced. I went to Corwin ***** and talked to ***** the manager and he told me he was confident they could fix it and if I wasnt and didnt want the truck anymore, he would take the truck back and my Loan would be completely paid off. The warranty person that came out didnt give the go ahead to replace the engine so Corwin Honda told me to drive it until it blows up. I brought it back into ***** after trying to drive it (it broke down in the middle of the highway) and told them I wanted to get my money back. It has been over a month now and they are not getting this resolved. I keep getting excuses of why it isnt getting resolved and Im very frustrated no one is communicating with me or getting this resolved quickly. ***** also said he wont take it back until the engine is replaced, which isnt what he said at the beginning. I need help getting this resolved please!!

Corwin Motors will continue to work with this customer strictly under goodwill. She purchased a truck AS-IS with no warranty expressed or implied. The customer purchased a service contract at the time of sale. She came back shortly after the vehicle was purchased and we took the truck in immediately to inspect it. The service contract company came out and came to the conclusion the truck did not need a motor at this time. She took the vehicle back and it immediately started having problems again. We again contacted the service contract company to access the vehicle and currently we have been going through the recommended steps to repair her vehicle. Upon completion of the repairs, Corwin Motors has agreed to purchase the vehicle back under goodwill although we are under no obligation to do so. We regret that it has taken some time to resolve this matter but will continue to work with our customer as long as she is willing.

Previously had work done in August of 2021 by Corwin Motors on my ***** Cruze replacing lifters and Rockers arms along with some other work shown in the work order attached. After work was completed issues with high idle, Hood misalignment, hoses not attached to their box correctly, hose clamps not tightened correctly and after some time oil leaking from timing cover onto serpintine belt, valve cover, underside of my hood, and onto my driveway, along with a strange smell when driven. After discovering the oil leak I contacted Corwin Motors to have them because they were the previous people to work on it. The oil leaking from the timing cover ******************* stated " we did not remove the timing cover so it is not our responsibility". This was after a 4 hour wait with little to no communication from corwin motors as to completion. $1685 was what i paid for first work done and they want me to pay $1953 to fix what **** states they are not responsible for. Timing cover was removed because the documentation from first work order states "tightened timing chain guides". The bolts for the timing chain guides are down by the end of the crankshaft and the timing cover has to be removed to access those with any tool. I have 12 years as a certified mechanical technician. I had worked on hundreds of motors rebuilt hundreds of motors. Thats pretty normal with not only cars but also motor cycles, water craft, snowmobiles, ect. They are denying responsibility even though thier work order states they did remove the timing cover and that's where I'm now leaking oil which is going to ruin my belt is going to ruin my alternator is going to ruin sensors on that side of the motor.

************** brought us his vehicle August 25th, 2021 with the complaint of a ticking noise when the engine is cold and said it sounded like clave noise.  We inspected the vehicle and diagnosed that his noise was coming from his lifters that were failing.  We received his approval to replace the lifters and rockers and a valve cover gasket.  He also approved at that time front and rear engine mounts as well as his front brake pads for a complete total of $1685.58.  It is now almost eight months later since that work was performed and ************** brought his vehicle back into us for us to diagnose a oil leak.  The technician found the oil leak coming from the timing cover and also recommended a crank seal and water pump.  ************** is telling us that we caused the timing cover leak because his last repair order states we 'Tightened Timing Chain Guide".  The Timing chain guides must have their torque checked when performing the replacement of all lifters and rockers to a torque yield of 37 ft lbs.  What ************** doesn't understand is that the timing cover does not have to come off for us to perform that tightening.  I understand where he would think that we would because it "sounds" related but it is not.  If you look at the attachments in this response you will see where those chain guides are which are at the top of the cylinder head.  Only the valve cover had to be removed to expose the guides.  It is unfortunate that ************** vehicle needs more work 8 months later but we could not have caused this to occur, it's just plainly impossible.  Our service advisor tried to explain this to the customer but it never made it to me in person so I could show and explain our reasoning.  That offer is still there if ************** would like to meet with me, I am the Service Manager and my name is *****************************.  Please let me know if you need any more clarification.

I am rejecting this response because:

      Sincerely,
I'm rejecting the response because the photos in the response not one time does it show a timing chain guide, they do show where one of the guides is. In between the two camshafts at the top of the head. The torque specification is incorrect of 37 ft lb the torque specification correctly is 8 ft pounds for the chain guides. If the chain guides at the top of the head were torque to 37 foot pounds then the first time I heated up my motor it may have warped the area around those bolts that were tightened in correctly, his picture show them with wrenches on the end of a camshaft tightening the can shaft nut holding on the gear that holds the timing chain, which is all related to the chain guides plural. I'm sending a photo of the timing chain cover and a picture of all three guides with the timing chain to show all of what percent is covered in timing chain guides. I am concerned at what my car will become in the future because of the information they provided. At no time was I provided a sit-down, even though I was told separate times by the owner Mr ***** and by ***** the responder to the BBB. **** said he wouldn't argue with me at that time I didn't want to talk to them and now with the very incorrect information they have provided to the better Business bureau I can't believe anything that they would tell me to be the truth. Also the use of my ****** post and my better Business bureau complaint Mr ***** stated that we are done I apologize thinking I was wrong but then discovered hours later the consumer protection fairness act of 2017. But I am out of breath and out of time I believe that's enough of a response to show that what they're saying is incorrect and misleading

************** was called by myself and explained thoroughly as to why we never had the timing cover off of his vehicle and could not have caused this oil leak.  I did offer for him to visit me at the dealership so I could talk to him in person and show him where his thinking is wrong.  The technician is also available to show him what he performed as well.  There is absolutely nothing to argue about here and nothing to resolve other than ************** to have his timing cover resealed at another place of business.  We are no longer interested in conducting business with **************, we have been very upfront and honest and offered to meet in person with no response from the customer.

      Consider this case resolved.

A year ago we purchased a truck through Corwin motors paid $27,000 cash for the vehicle. We also purchased an extended warranty through car when to cover all repair costs for my disabled father. We paid $3500 for the warranty. Last month my fathers truck had to go into the shop because the turbo went out, got a call from Corwin Saying there was a brake booster system that was installed on the truck that voided our warranty. We then proved that part was installed six years before we purchased the vehicle. Corwin is now trying to only refund part of our warranty money and is trying to charge us $4000 to get the truck back. It is not my fault they sold us a bunk warranty. I would like them held to the contract and would like my vehicle back at no charge. When they do that I will then let them out of the contract.
