Had a truck with an issue with the *** system having a clamp break which caused our truck needing to go to ******* Peterbilt in ********, ** for repairs. Shop closed and caused our truck to sit over Memorial day weekend. Peterbilt called and said that all pieces were melted and that the filter itself was the wrong filter. Peterbilt in ***** sold the filter to us as it was new and just installed. Computer diagnostics were ran and no issues were present for over **** miles of driver. Furthermore if the filter was wrong and installed backward the truck would not be able to run. In the end to get our truck out of being hostage at the dealership we had to pay $8100. We had ***** Peterbilt and our mechanics talk to the ******* Group Shop and prove to them that parts were not wrong but they refused to listen and forced us to spend this money. This is wrong and price gouged us for having a different opinion with them and conveniently the shop manager is now on vacation.
