          On October 6, 2018, BBB received an inquiry from a consumer regarding ECE Motors and their validity. On March 11, 2019, BBB attempted to contact ECE Motors at their advertised address of 7679 Us Highway 287 Townsend, MT 59644. The mail was returned as undeliverable on October 17, 2018. Upon further research, the address is a vacant field. BBB does not believe that this business is located in Montana or the United States. 

          BBB also found ECE Motors does not have a required escrow license or US DOT number to transport vehicles which is a requirement to act as an escrow agent and transporter in the state of Montana and United States of America. ECE Motors is not registered with Montana Secretary of State.  

          Additionally, the company only accepts payment via wire transfer. According to the Federal Trade Commission’s website, “If you are buying something online and the seller says you must use a money transfer to pay, it’s a sign you won’t get the item or a refund. Tell the seller you want to use a credit card, an escrow service or another way to pay.           Furthermore, the pictures on the website, including the CEO’s are found to belong to other companies. Since BBB first started reviewing the website, all four CEO pictures have changed to different people, but the names have remained the same. 

          On May 1, 2019, BBB located an email address on their website and emailed the business. BBB also attempted to call the business and was unable to speak with anyone or leave a message. As of May 21, 2019, the company has not responded to BBB.
