I purchased a vehicle from this lot and it's sister lot Wolf Auto back in April. The vehicle experienced **************** issues from day one, and broke down within a week. Within three months, the vehicle suffered a breakdown that needs more than the vehicles value to repair. The history of the vehicle suggests it had been in a flood prior to my purchasing it, and should have never been for sale.

This vehicle was personally driven from Washington to ******* with no problems, Customer purchased with a warranty and is still valid to this date. ******** called said it was broke down and wont start and he had it towed back to his residence. I called customer and said i will pick it up and take to mechanic . As i turned on the dirt road heading to his residence I noticed lots of mud puddles and ruts. This was from large amounts of rainfall from the last 3 or 4  days . The road is at least 5 miles of terrible muddy road.  I located the vehicle, the tow truck couldnt even make it to his residence as too muddy so left it in middle of road. It took a long time to turn trailer around and dig in mud to get a cable hooked on to frame. I delivered the vehicle to Moltzans Auto , they called and said the air cleaner had been flooded with muddy water and entered into the throttle body, they were able to clean everything up and called me said it was ready to go . I called customer let him know it was ready and i paid the bill except for $100.00 so customer can pay that as that was left owning on the amount down of the vehicle.  The road should have been graveled and maintained and problem wouldn't  have happened.

I am rejecting this response because:

      Sincerely,

The check engine light was on the vehicle when purchased, and the vehicle did not travel in deep waters or mud to have so much dirt and mud travel throughout the entire engine compartment.   Other vehicles with similar makes traversed the conditions with no difficulty, and never experienced any sort of mechanical issues.   Also, the information the dealer is stating is inaccurate.   The vehicle broke down again because of similar issues, even when road conditions were not adverse.   There was significant prior damage to the car, and even ********* downplayed the severity of the car's damage.   That vehicle should not have been available for sale in its condition.

It has been almost 8 months since the vehicle was repaired from the flooded road incident. The transport and costs of repair were at no charge to the customer, there has been no communication from the customer after calling and stating the mechanic is done with repairs and is ready for pickup.
The customer is now reporting to having problems but chose to file a complaint instead of contacting us about the issue. We have no capabilities of any source that can alert us that a vehicle is having an issue so we need to rely on the customer to be in contact so we can better assist the problem. It would been most likely another courtesy repair like the flood incident although we have no obligation to do so.
We are no different than any other used dealerships, all inventory clearly states as-is no warranty on all vehicles and is required by law to display. Customers are welcome to have the vehicle checked out by a mechanic or have a mechanic present.Customer did test drive vehicle before purchasing and signed the acknowledgement that states as is no warranty.  However, this vehicle does have a drive train warranty with the finance company. This vehicle can get fixed at a very little deductible. All used vehicles are known for maintenance and parts that *** need to be replaced overtime. I find it unreasonable to be reported after 8 months of use of a vehicle being sold as is reporting unidentified information that can be most likely a maintenance issue, but in case there is catastrophic failure the customer can rest knowing coverage from financing **** can resolve the issue.

The vehicle has been sitting in a repair facility for several months, and the warranty company is only willing to pay for some of the damage, and not all of it in its entirety, leaving me to pay thousands out of pocket to repair the vehicle even after the warranty would pay for the cost of a new engine, so claiming the warrant would cover the damages is a myth.   I'm not expecting a resolution from the dealership as much as I want it known that their business practices should deter ALL consumers from considering doing business with them.  The dealer pulled a bait and switch at the time of sale, and sold a vehicle with known existing issues.    Nobody in their right mind should do business with either Wolf brother.

I am rejecting this response because:  The vehicle has been at a repair facility for months, as I've been dealing with the warranty company.   They will not fully cover the repair costs fully, and would burden me with having to pay thousands of dollars in repairs out of pocket.  The total costs of all repairs also exceeds the value of the vehicle.   Considering the warranty company refuses to claim it as a total loss, I've been forced to surrender the vehicle and suffer further damage to my credit.    Everything the dealership promised at the time of sale wasn't delivered upon, and I feel as though I was suckered into buying a lemon as a part of a bait and switch, and the vehicle was never fully road worthy.

      Sincerely,
