In 2021 I hired Harbeck roofing to repair a leak in my ceiling. Due to delays in shipping it took longer to repair than what it would have. I undershoot this and wasn't angry. The work got done. This company offered a life time warranty on their work. It's Feb 2023 and my roof is leaking in the same area. I paid over ******* (I have the invoice still) for the repair. I have not been able to get in contact with this company. They have ignorant my emails and text messages. You cannot get anyone on the phone. Their ******** page is now gone, and now they have been suspended from the BBB. What am I supposed to do? If they cannot stand by their work, or they have gone out of business, they should still be held accountable for the workmanship they said they backed. I guess I will need to get a lawyer and take it to court.Initial Complaint

03/12/2022 Entered into a contract to replace roofing on porches and update vinyl siding on my residence with Harbeck Roofing and remodeling with the area manager ****** ******. Work was scheduled to be completed for the first week of July 2022. The total price for the work was $18629.00. I issued a check which has cleared for half of the work of $9314.00 to Harbeck Roofing. The work was not completed in July as scheduled and I was informed by the company that they had a problem getting materials to complete the work. The job was rescheduled for the first week of October and a delivery of metal roofing for the porches was delivered. No one ever showed up to complete the work. After numerous emails sent to the company, I was told by ******* ******* by email that the work would be completed in the next few weeks. I informed her that if the work was not completed by Mid November I wanted a refund of my deposit and the company could pick up the roofing supplies that were delivered. I sent an email on November 14 2022 and I have not had a response and all of the telephone numbers listed for the company can not receive telephone calls. The regional branch office listed on contact is for ABC Roofing which is a roofing supplier and they do not have any affiliation with Harbeck Roofing. Harbeck Roofing is still advertising locally but they will not respond by email and all telephone numbers listed are out of service.Initial Complaint

Our roof was replaced by Harbeck Roofing and Remodeling on July 17th, 2022. We fully paid for the roof, as the money was sent to us by our insurance company - hail damage. However, we have now been informed that the owner of Harbeck Roofing has not paid her subcontractor for the shingles and a lien has been placed on our house. At this point, we have been unable to get up with the owner of the company, she no longer answers our phone calls. She will also not pay her bill and rectify the lien on our house.Initial Complaint

I hired Harbeck Roofing & Remodeling (located at *** ********** ***** ******* ** *****) to install a metal porch roof and replace a bay window roof on my home located at **** Colony ***** ***** ***** ** *****. The total price I was quoted was $2,350.00. We wrote them a check on June 16, 2022, for $1,175.00, which was the 50% deposit for them to order the material and get us on their schedule. They cashed the check and emailed us a receipt of payment on June 19, 2022. They estimated that the work would be done in July. The work was finally done at the end of September. The project manager never came out to do an inspection and the company sent a final bill on October 5, 2022. The work was very poorly done, and I made several more calls to have the project manager come out to go over the issues that I had with the quality of workmanship. When he finally came to inspect the work, he agreed that the work was very poorly done and would be corrected, which never happened. By the end of October, after calls were never returned, I sent an email to the owner, ******** *******, and explained that this was holding up the completion of other work that needed to be done to the house. Since the porch roof needs to be finished before we can put up the vinyl siding on our house above the roof, our house has only had house wrap on it, and has been open to the elements since June. On 10/25/22, I sent her an email with pictures of the work, and she agreed on 10/28/22 that it was not an acceptable quality of work and asked me to give her until Monday, 10/31/22, and that she would have a date for the work to be redone or she would give us our money back. After I did not hear back again, I sent a text message to her on 11/3/22. This is when she told me that she could not find a crew to replace the roof and would be sending us a refund so that we could hire someone else to redo the job. The refund has not been received and all calls made regarding this have been ignored.
