      My friend had A building put up by them I watched it go up.I based my decision to purchase one from Galaxy Steel based on that. Galaxy never said they were a broker OR used different companies for product installation !Quote says "installers have 20yrs. experience" ? look at pics.?My contract said Location: *******,Tenn that was were my friend product and installers were from. I'm explaining this is cause I was suppose to receive same Quality of product / workmanship as he.THAT WAS NOT THE ***** I got company called Super Metal Structures from N.C. Looked like it was going good . Did not catch defects till they left with my money.Windows were way out of square! man door was installed improperly with 3" gap at bottom &top,3 sides of all steel had gaps in ribbing on 3 sides bad was great . I thought the defect in installing steel caused by used fork lift to install steel . Further investigation, steel thickness,29 ga. was not used. The really bad news came when I used the roll up door. Put my equipment and truck in shut door next day could not get open . I called to alert Galaxy steel and SMS of problem June 4th sent pic as requested, SMS told me on June 12th,installer come next week. Would not give me a date. June 19th said crew would be there Sunday 23rd. Did not expect it was a Sunday sayed home in case they did show up!June 23 called Galaxy. ****** stated no one works on Sunday!SMS Lied again! I told SMS and messaged SMS that my equipment were stuck in barn cause the door would not open ! We discovered that it was NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY! CONTACTED BOTH COMPANIES FOR A RESPONSE BECAUSE NEITHER WOULD TAKE MY CALLS! On 24th a texted saying Crew would come before Friday ? MY ***************** TRAPPED IN A BARN FOR A WEEK! could not wait. hired *** to open. installer shows Friday 28 .There 1hr. leaves back in 2 wks. Now 7/9/24. ******** NOT HONORED IN TIMELY FASHION ! Gone on 45 days ***! Neither Galaxy or SMS will return call? date? REFUND!

      Dear **********************, to my understanding you purchased a metal building with us due to a referral from *******************. ******************* knew that we were a dealer and not the actual manufacturer as the manufacturer that installed him was a different one. When you contacted us about that we spoke with you about that matter and you said it was completely fine. At no point in our conversations did we mention that we were the actual manufacturer. The manufacturer Super Metal Structures had been in contact with you about repairs. However, at no point did Galaxy Steel Buildings or Super Metal Structures deny any repairs to the customer *****************************. Repairs as well with delivery & installation is all based on weather permitting and availability of the installer. As for the "incorrect" material, Super Metal Structures has written records & proof that the framing of the building is 14 gauge & 29 gauge panels. Also, the supervisor did indeed contact you on a Sunday and answered any questions that you had in respect to the repairs which as you would know, no company works on Sunday but the Supervisor took their personal time to answer your questions to provide the best customer service possible. As for the installer being there 1 hour, the installer went to your property to check out the repairs needed to be done and also to see how much material he needed to bring back to do the full repairs. In fact, the installer communicated with you that he would be back in 2 weeks to do the repairs. Neither Galaxy Steel Buildings or Super Metal Structures denied fixing any repairs needed to be done to ************************************* repairs.

       I am rejecting this response because:My issues are not resolved. I agreed to give them more time to investigate manufacturing issues. Next week (7/15-19) I was told Installer would be coming.  Installation issues and   framing 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 sq. tubing  that was not completed ,hopefully will be completed at that time. 

      When I'm satisfied the problems are fixed. I'll be glad to close out this complaint. 

      remember this started on **** 4th and first response by installer was **** 28.

       I am rejecting this response because: 

      SMS INSTALLERS were out 7/15/24.

      Replaced crooked window. Look at roll up told me they could put up a shield. It would not fix gap. Did do anything. I don't even know if had anything to put up.

      I did call SMS with there people here and heard the conversation. 

      Did show him again siding problems, door issue, purlins issue. He did take some measurements. Ask what plan to do and when? SMS installer leader, said someone would be calling later to day.

      That didn't happen! 

      Again I request reopen claim as I stated before. They do not do as they say and are not honoring warranty!

      It's taken 2mos. To replace a crooked installed window! All the steel siding, even if it was 29ga.steel, which it is not.

      Is still bent and installed improperly. 

      Roll up door is bent ! Not the purlins that was supposed to be Installed which and to other problems. When wind blows ,listen to  video. What you suppose would happen if their was astrong wind?

      I've had a building standing here for almost 60 days and unable to use .

      That has cost me $.  

      Their answer are vague and no time table .Which says to me they have no intention of Honoring warranty. 

      If they did they would state what they would do and when!

      **************, with all due respect, we have proof that we have been in communication with you and have been updating you. We are aware of the issues but you have to understand this is a process. **** is hours and hours away from us so repairs have to be planned accordingly. Each week we get present a new issue so we are trying to tackle one thing at once. Each week you notify us about something different. As mentioned above, we have been in constant communication with you and have been updating you.

       I am rejecting this response because:  

      Sir, you were correct. you've let me know you've taken steel sample to manufacture to be tested.  

      So? Who is manufacture? Sample of what steel?   Off my building? How?

      All you have done, by a Disinterested 3rd party? 

      As I used?  No.

      Due respect, I understand the process better than you know. 

       45yrs. in ******************************** and business owner.

      What I did wrong was Trusted Galaxy Steel! Trust that I was going to get ,was as I saw, the same structure as ****************. No I did not!

      That last video that was of a 10 mph wind . What will happen if a 50mph wind? 

      I would of thought that reporting improper Constitution practice of crooked widows,doors with LG.gaps,wrinkles, improper installation steel siding might be useful information to your business?  

      Apparently not since I find similar Complaints against SMS, in BBB records! even a 14 X 14' door problem?

       Instead of see the mistakes and fixing,you investigate manufacture. While blaming the customer for calling you on your Defected material and workmanship! 

      Lets be clear, Galaxy Steel Thu the entire month of June, responded twice until June 23rd .When I was misinformed by *****(SMS) installers would be coming out.

      I give ****** credit she did respond that day. text again on 29th stated Installer be out in 2 wks. fix rest? 

      The Issue is you reference this build to be like ******* ! It is NOT!  Horizontal tubing Millers and others have in the buildings ARE CALLED PURLINS! 

       I would like to believe Galaxy Steel/SMS will Honor there Contract and Warranty by installing 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 sq. tubing Purlin frame, as in Millers bld., Replace all wrinkled steel siding w/29 ga. steel as contracted. and 14 X 14ft door, Install or replace with  proper fit door. As in ****** bld..

       It took less than 10 days from time I called to say I was ready for building for your installers to start the build.

      Nearly 2 mos.Since June 4th and all is replaced is a window! 

      SMS is not even on the ****** Tenn. Steel  Buildings out of *******,Tenn. same company built Millers building .

      YOU SWITCH a 5 Star BBB rated contractor,Installers of the Millers blg. , Gave me installers that are not only NOT RATED, but  have history of Unresolved complaints ! Same type as mine!

      Bottom Line,Galaxy Steel has Baited me in with one building and Installer and last minute Switch Material,structure and Installer with inferior product and installer!

      Excuse me if I do not believe anything till it happens! 

      This time if and when , you decide to send out your installers to correct all mistakes I'll need to know in advance of Day and exactly what correction they will be making and materials being replaced.

      The initial contract to have our building ordered and installed was 8-23-2023 with a total cost of $67,732.28. Lion buildings and their affiliate Super Metal Structures would provide all materials and labor to install the building (*80' x 50' with 10 windows, 3 man doors, 3 14' x14' roll up doors and a partition wall inside the building dividing it into two separate spaces. I have a few issues within my complaint-1. They did not install the 3 header seals over the 3 roll up doors as promised in the contract- I have tried contacting them numerous times only to be ignored or told they would get it to the right person without any follow up.2, several windows and areas in the roof leak and they have not responded to this problem as well after numerous attempts.3. they have promised they would rectify the situation on several occasions but I have yet to hear from them.I want the header seals to be installed correctly and sealed to the existing spray foam insulation and the leaks to be fixed so that I don't have water in my building every time it rains. In addition, we are not able to live in the building as planned since the air cannot be cooled or heated with the header seals missing and water leaking in so we would like a partial refund of our money as well in the amount of $33,866.14.My contract number is ODR-****** *************************
