      Own townhouse house next to one Tons of Rental mange. Water on the kitchen floor. maintenance technician came take care of the problem, my plumber wasnt immediately available as most plumbers are not. While the maintenance technician troubleshooting and evaluating the problem, made several calls await more than 30 minutes before Tons of Rental, property manager text. while waiting for response doing whatever possible to determine the cause waiting to get a response from Tons of Rental. I texted that possible the water could be from the next-door townhouse. This is part of the troubleshooting process. Never did I say the water actual came from there. The proof is in the texts Her tenant had gotten home and was talking with her on the phone and there wasnt water in her unit. Tons of Rental property manager stated Based on your thoughts I am sending a plumber now. More than an hour and half plumber never showed and never put foot in my townhouse and Tons of Rental never text or asked me or the maintenance tech if the problem was solved. She used one of Tons of Rental plumbers that they use all the time, who call me the next day and I cannot confirmed that they actual come out because I never saw them. But Tons of Rental had the guts to send me a bill with their townhouse unit number listed on it for $ 159, lied and said I requested for them to send out a plumber. Proof is in the texts. When both of us already knew there was no water in the property that she manages, I spoke with tenant from her front porch, and she confirmed there was no leak in her unit. This is not the first time that Ive had issues with Tons of Rental when it comes to my property, that they have absolutely nothing to do with, using dirty, unethical and borderline unlawful tactics. I have text messages and pictures to prove it. To all property owners, if your property is next to close to anything that Tons of Rental manage beware, they are dirty and unethical.

      This company has no integrity and is full of greed. Attempted to keep over $2000 of my money by implementing deceitful practices and ignoring the clear issues brought to their attention. We had to take legal action and settle with an attorney. DO NOT rent from them.

      In response to ******************* complaint to the BBB, below is a copy of the letter that was sent to them in response to their security deposit transmittal, while he and the other occupants were residing at *************************************** Asheville, **. There is also a copy of the paragraph from our lease below, pertaining to the requirements for a notice to vacate. This was signed by all occupants stating they understood the process. IMPORTANT TO NOTICEI. Resident will at all times keep Agent advised of Resident's correct mailing address.II. The requirement for a 30-day written NOTICE OF INTENT TO VACATE has been fully explained and Residentfurther understands that final month's rent is based on full month term and will not be pro-rated unless the Property isre-rented prior to the end of move-out month. Should the Resident elect to break the terms of the lease by vacating theproperty prior to the termination date, Resident will be responsible for actual costs relating to leasing the premises.This may include advertising, administrative costs, re-keying, cleaning, and other lease-related expenses. Resident willcontinue to be responsible for the financial terms of the lease, including utilities, until the expiration of the rental term ordate of occupancy by a new resident, whichever occurs first. Resident can submit their Notice to Vacate through theirResident Portal or can by request receive a Notice to Vacate form from the Agent. **************************, and ****:Thank you for reaching out to us concerning your security deposit. Unfortunately, the communication used to express friends possibly wanting to rent a home once our lease terminates, does not give us the required notice that you are moving out. In **, your lease goes month to month automatically, once it terminates. When you give a notice to vacate, you must state the date you are moving out, so we know what date you are relinquishing possession back to us. We do not assume you are moving out at the end of your lease, as this can go on for months or years, based upon the automatic transition of a term lease to a month to month lease.Upon inspection of the premises, the lawn was extremely overgrown. Bushes had not been trimmed, lawn had not been mowed, and a lot of cleanup was required. This was growth from months, not just 30 days. Pictures can be sent to you upon request.Based upon these findings, the security deposit will not be returned and the balance will go to collections on 8/1/2022.
