On July 5 2022 my husband ***** went to Laurel and Senter to buy a clutch for his Scagg Lawn mower part number ****** they had it in stock. The clutch came in a Extreme Clutch box and that is who the clutch was made by. My husband paid ****** for the clutch which was ****** and a convience fee of ***** plus ***** tax have no idea what a convience fee but never the less he paid it. He installed the clutch himself. No instructions were in the box and I spoke to Extreme Clutch and they stated that they do not have instructions in the box only a sheet with advisements on it. My husband used the mower about 4 times after the install. Something went wrong at that point. On August 1 2022 ***** took back to Laurel and Senter for them to test the clutch. They did and the clutch and something was wrong with it. ****** blamed it on ***** doing the install himself and did not burnish the clutch properly. We did not ask for a refund because we knew that would not happen but we did ask that they warranty out the part. ****** refused. He stated it had no warranty because ***** done the install. So I called Extreme Clutch to see what the Warranty policy was. One year from the date of purchase is what I was told by ***** at the manufacturer. I ask her if my husband installed would it make a difference and she said no to send it back to them and they would either replace or refund. I then called Laurel and Senter and ask them to get a *** number because they were the ones who supposedly purchased it. That was on August 1 on August 4 I called back to see if they had gotten the *** and was told no that they did not know who they bought the clutch from they used a third party vender and had no idea was the words ****** used or when they bought it. I told him to have the clutch ready and I was going to pick it up. So now I have a worthless clutch and I'm out ****** please help. I also made ****** aware that I was going to report this. He took that as a threat.
