On Sat Oct 21, 2023 I placed 10 percent down on a layaway for a ring for a **** and diamond ring and was told this was valued at over $1800 and they reduced 50 percent. I placed 10 percent down and anticipated getting out in 30 days leaving a balance of $866. On this same day while husband was driving me back from ********* to our home town, I found this exact same ring for $500 on line on ETSY. I am attaching pictures of the ring I placed on layaway on the day I was in the store and then the Etsy ring that is approximately $400 less than what the store charged me. The sales person continued to tell me that this was a bargain and no one could match a price like this. Well, they did and now I lack trust in returning to this store and would like 100 percent of the down payment made for this ring and another anf will no longer shop there due to lack of trust. I texted pictures of the ring with the product description to ***** in the store on their next business day, Monday, Oct 23 and requested that my 10 percent down payment be taken off of layaway and applied toward the second ring towards the law away. I Spoke to ***** on Sunday, Oct 29 and she said that she would have to keep 20 percent of my down payment and then they would apply the rest to the second layaway. I then spoke to ******. He asked that I send pictures of the ring, price and description and I explained I sent these to *****, 2 days after I placed on layaway and was very upset that they had not been honest in their price. He said that I was taking their product out of inventory when I placed deposit and this and keeping it out of inventory 9 months was the agreement. This was untrue because on the next business day, I contacted the store and shared my concerns. I request that I be refunded the total $ in same method I paid for the 10% deposit for both items now (approx $157.29) i will no longer use this store in the future.Business response

Customer was given a refund of the amount requested on 11/14. ****'s Jewelry & ****, **** stands behind our product and use an outside appraiser/valuation on our pricing on most all items with natural stones and diamonds. We apologize for any issues, and will adjust the price of our ring as necessary. This was a first for our company, as we have always guarantee the lowest prices on like quality merchandise. We understand that the ring was on the website for this price shown, and when we could confirm that the weight of the gold and the quality of all the stones were comparable, we will always beat a competitor's price. Without having the ring to compare to, we agreed to just give the customer their money back, so that they understood that we would and will always stand behind our product/merchandise.
