I am required to work from home, I use my home phone to connect to my job to take calls. We pay for a service that is not working causing me to be out of work. This is the second time that this has happened and asked for compensation for the on day that **** who they are blaming for the inconvenience. Each agent I have talked to refuses to assist with compensation and the first time they compensated us for the inconvenience and now no wants to compensate us for the inconvenience again and will not take the blame. We are on time with our bills and have not been late with any payments and have been a loyal customer for years. Our service is with the ************** ** officeBusiness response

The outages referred to in the above complaint are from February 22, 2023 and October 3,2023 where the sub was unable to dial 800 and 866 long distance numbers.Unfortunately during both of these occurrences, the issued stemmed from the AT&T trunking to the Brightspeed tandem in *****, ** was down. The result of this outages caused AT&T toll free and AT&T long distance numbers to be down. This outage was out of SkyLines network and out of our control to repair. Since this is a third party service, SkyLIne does not typically issue customer credit, but does work with the customers to relay as much information as possible as to repair times.
The customer does refer to a credit received during a previous outage. This occurrence is from a trouble reported on March 25, 2023 where the customer reported a no dial tone trouble. ********************** repaired the trouble and issued the customer a $25 customer satisfaction credit. ********************** issued this credit as the trouble was in SkyLInes network and was able to repair.
