THEY ONLY GET ONE STAR BECAUSE IT'S 1/5-THEY DESERVE A ZERO. On 3/8/22 we made a decision to have our 15-year-old lab dog (****) euthanized due to the fact he was very tired and was getting to the point of having trouble standing up and going up and down the steps. This process went haywire from the get go. The Dr didn't put a tourniquet on ****'s front left leg to make the vein pop up. Instead, the Dr put the needle where I guess he thought the vein was. As he inserted the needle, **** barked in discomfort as I held him in my arms. The Dr proceeded with the insertion of the solution into ****'s leg for 1 ½ to 2 minutes as he was clearly in a lot of discomfort because all of the solution only going under the skin and not into the vein, so therefore, **** was still fully conscious and I expressed that this was not right & far from any thing we experienced in past experiences. As **** lie there still conscious for 2 minutes, the doctor looks at me & says "I got to go in and get more" as he appears to be in disbelief. As the Dr stands there, my sister-in-law firmly tells the doctor to "not just stand there, go get what you need & hurry up". As time passes & **** is still laying on the truck conscious, the Dr comes back out & inserts needle into ****'s left rear leg to not have any luck hitting a vein, then he moves to insert the needle into ****'s right front leg & has success getting into the vein & **** finally becomes peaceful & his breathing and heart stops. This total process was approximately 7 minutes. The doctor & I carried **** into the rear of the building on his bed & a stretcher type piece of equipment & the Dr continued to say this was very normal. I went up to lobby to express how bad the procedure went, the Dr came from the back and began cursing me out & saying he would whip my ass if I didn't leave the property. This was the most unprofessional experience possible that someone can go through. We expected and deserved way better.

We tried to accommodate Ms. ******* by performing the euthanasia in the bed of the truck. Which we normally don't do. A licensed veterinary technician held the vein for the doctor to administer the euthanasia solution. During the infusion the vein blew. The patient became unconscious. After attempting another leg for the venous puncture the rest of the euthanasia solution was administered and the Patient passed away peacefully. Our associate veterinarian returned to the inside of the clinic. At some point Ms. ******* and her husband returned to the lobby to voice their disgruntlements. He started swearing and cursing and called my associate veterinarian an "incompetent ******* Mexican". Our associate veterinarian after being provoked returned words. There is security video that shows Ms. ******* physically restraining her husband as he is trying to make aggressive physical gestures towards our associate veterinarian and staff members. I was on the phone with staff members while this was transpiring. I immediately hung up and called the ****** Police Chief to ask that he send a deputy immediately to our hospital to remove this client. 20 minutes later I arrive at the hospital. I return a phone call to Ms. *******'s husband. He wanted to know if I was aware of the situation. I acknowledged that I was. When I brought up his behavior and verbal abuse. He ended the conversation and said he would never come to my place of business again and that he would write a negative review. I told him thank you and please don't come back.
