This business was paid in advance to repair our clothes dryer. The initial complaint about the (gas) dryer was the loud banging noises that came with its use. Visit #1 was 3/10/23, the repairmen examined the dryer. Parts were ordered. On visit #2, I told the repairmen that the drum was no longer turning, and I smelled burning, so I stopped using the dryer, and hung up my laundry in the house. I also told the repairmen (this will be significant later) that if I had known that continuing to use the machine would cause this burning, I would not have used it any more. They installed the belt that they had ordered, and got the machine running, while it was empty. Next time I ran laundry, the drum once again was not turning, and the burning smell returned, so I didn't use it. I called the business owner, and on visit #3, they came out to inspect, and discovered that with too much weight, the drum would not turn, but with only a couple items of wet clothing, it would. They would order the next part. I chose to not use the dryer from then on, because it would only work with 4 items at a time, and I didn't want to spend the money to run it all day just for one load of laundry. By the time they were to return to install the new part, I found out that they dropped the case, (BUT KEPT THE MONEY) saying that I was not supposed to run the dryer while it was "under their care for repair." I told them that at NO TIME did anyone--store owner OR repairmen--tell me that. The store owner kept insisting that she had told me not to use it, and I denied it. On their phone, it says that calls are recorded, so I asked the owner to go back and check the phone call recordings to verify that she had told me not to use the machine, and she said she would take care of that in the next 48 hours. This was on 4/10. One week later, on the 4/18 I called to see if she found the recording, and said had not, but would try. I've called twice since then and no response. And they kept the pre-payment.

HomeServe appliance repair service through Dominion Energy sent Ed’S Appliance Rescue Service to repair my oven. I was very disappointed that after 4 visits the issue with my oven had still had not bern corrected. I waited for over a month for my oven to be repaired, with no results. To HomeServe’s credit, they are sending a new repair service to address my issue, without requiring me to pay my deductible for a service call.
