Tapco Insurance is making false accusations about the pre-existing condition of a property after a collapse and have since dropped the insurance policy. The claims they are making are completely false. The property was in good condition on purchase date, about 2 weeks prior to the collapse. I have photographic evidence showing the condition of the property hours before the collapse which show it standing with all 4 walls in tact. They are attaching photos after the collapse as proof of the property condition. They are refusing to pay out the insurance policy.Customer response

On December 27, 2022, I met with David N***** (AAA ****** **** ******* ******* ** ***** ******* ** *****) to inquire about car insurance cheaper than mine and ended up taking out this TAPCO liability insurance ($525 /year for 1000$ K protection) and keeping my State Farm for the car (nothing cheaper with AAA). A few days later (January 4, 2023) after wondering why I had purchased this useless insurance, I emailed him saying that I had changed my mind. On January 9, I sent him another email: ". Please cancel this insurance policy (*** ***** ********* ******* *** * *** **) Transaction # ********* and refund.". Having received no response, on January 15, 2023, I sent him another email: "Here are the reasons why I want to cancel this policy: 1. Reckless decision (suggested by the seller) 2. At 84, I live alone and never have visitors 3. I live here only 4 months a year 4. I plan to sell this mobile home soon 5. I have not had liability insurance for 20 years and I have had no problems .". Finally, on January 17, I received his response “you will be refunded your premium”. Instead, at the end of January, I received the contract from TAPCO Underwriters Inc by mail with information stating: "termination date 06/03/2023". Since that time, I have been waiting to be reimbursed despite the many emails sent to this insurance company who seems to place the responsibility on David.Initial Complaint

I paid my yearly homeowner's insurance with TAPCO in November of 2021. I have been waiting since that time to receive my policy. I have attempted to contact this agency by phone calls and mail correspondence with no response. I sent a certified letter in June 2021 which was signed for (unable to read name on return receipt) and still no response. I have exhausted all means of contacting this agency. I have gone from November 2021 to June 2022 without any information of coverage. Also in June of this year, I sent a certified letter to its subsidiary *** ******** ********* ****** located in Savannah, GA requesting them to contact me regarding my policy and again no response. I would greatly appreciate you looking into this matter, and contacting my daughter, ******* ****** ************** with any information obtained regarding this matter. At this time, I feel this company is intentionally taking money and not sending out the policy leaving customers in limbo as to whether they are insured.Customer response
