Some staff is great others are not. I was misinformed and totally lied to upon signing up. Half the services offered and that I pay for are never available. Then when I go to cancel my contract they want to tell me about a buy out. FOR SERVICES THEY ARENT FULFILLING ON THEIR END! If anyone has a contact for corporate or the district manager in the ************, ************** location I would appreciate it!Review from Demetira S

This place is crooked . So I enrolled back in July 2023. First off they didnt even comply with what the offered with the membership, secondly they charged me twice on my bank statement. Ive been trying to cancel for months and was told by peak I couldnt . The only way is if I were disable or relocated , so I submitted my license from ************ which doesnt expire until 2026. They fact the date is prior to my enrollment it wasnt accepted. Which is crazy because I permanently live in ************ I was in ************** taking care of business. They began asking me for life insurance policies , bank statement credit card statements . First of all your doing to much prying in my personal life. It should never be this deep for a gym membership . Pure greed I tell you but too tell me there is no corporate office for either fit 4 life or peak is beyond me . So I guess collections I go because I dont live in ************** my business is complete hereReview from Ryan B

I was talked into a contract for personal training (very pushy might I add) I did the duration of 6 months which was agreed fine thats fair and thats what I signed up for but I explicitly told the gentleman I signed up with that I want it to be cancelled after the 6 months went by here it is 2 months after the contract expired and I am still getting charged they will not issue a refund and I have to submit a "request" to cancel why cant they just cancel it then and there now by the time everything is done they will have charged me a third time this isnt right to do to your customers I have seen many many other reviews stating the same frustration as me.Review from Po S

I was having them contact me personally over and over attempting to get me signed up. I NEVER gave them permission to contact me and nor did my husband. They are violating federal law by doing so. My husband have a contract and tried to cancel within 7 days due to his physical disability after signing within those days. We contacted a worker there and they acknowledged it says it will be cancel but until we got the charge for it on the first month and comes to find out they never cancel the account. Comes to find out supposedly we was too late to cancel because we have to write company the email. Such a scam!!!Review from Roshel P

Zero stars! All I want is freedom from this awful place. I attempted to buy out my contract and they refused to acknowledge my buyout. First of all, they will not share that a buyout is available to you as a member. Secondly, after you buyout of the contract they will still charge you until your official end date. The sole purpose of a buy out is just that, terminating the contract and buying out of the remaining payments. It was my fault for not listening to my husband when he said this company was scamming me. The personal fitness trainer is also a scam. I went through 2 trainers. My first trainer schedule didnt fit my schedule and so she moved me to another trainer. After a while he left and then they attempted to schedule me with a different trainer. 2 trainers in a matter of 4 months is insane. Ive wasted time and money, both of which I can never get back.Review from Wes-Gustavo L

Tgis is FIT 4 LIFE in *******, NC. These people are crooks! Lied about personal trainer could be canceled. I am injured permanently and had to pay for something I can no longer use! $1400.00 was paid and I only used 3 sessions of personal training. I then became injured from a condition I have from serving in the military. When I tried to cancel to give a doctor's note I was given the run around and they all pointed fingers at each other as to who to talk to. They NEVER solved my issue. If you see ****** don't not sign up with her. She is the worst of them all. She will pretend to be this nice person but after signing up she turns into someone who doesn't care nor helps you in any way and lied about how the contracts works. The GM ***** seemed to be helpful at first but then fades into the background when it comes to giving bad news and let's his staff workers give out news reports customers don't want to hear. They also use a 3rd party company to take your payments called PEAK. This gym does this so they don't have to be held responsible for cancelations and also payment problems.
Wish I could give negative stars! Don't sign for personal Trainer nor this gym. If you see a man with a sign outside of their gym that will be me, come talk to me first so I can tell you more about my horrible experience and I'll show you what the contract says. I'll tell you all of their hidden fees, sneaking sales pitches that they told me, and how they will manipulate you into signing a contract you don't need. If you have any questions at all feel free to call or text me as well. This is my personal number. I am only doing this so that no one goes thru what I did.

I truly apologize for your experience with us at Fit4life. I have looked through your account records and I see the initial call on August 7th 2021 where you requested to cancel PT and were directed towards ****. **** responded with the correct form that was needed to be signed by your provider in order to cancel but we did not hear back from you until Dec 22, 2021. Once we heard back on Dec 22nd, we immediately canceled your membership and personal training with no further charges. Had we gotten the form back from you in August, we absolutely would have canceled your account at the time of request. You were also sent a copy of your contract for both membership and personal training with agreement terms and cancelation policies the day that you signed up, (May 4th, 2021 (PT) April 27th, 2021 (Membership). As of 12/22/2021, after receiving the form, your membership and personal training have both been canceled. If you have any additional questions or concerns please feel free to reach out.
