I engaged Doug Limeberry Roofing on March 5, 2020, for $8,730 to replace my homes shingle roof because there were leaks in several locations. I asked ****************** to remove the solar panels and frames they had installed four years earlier. On May 19, Limeberry replaced the shingles. SHS reinstalled the solar panels. The next time it rained, the roof leaked water abundantly. Both SHS and Limeberry came to the house several times to inspect and attempt to address these leaks. Limeberry came by many times , but the leaks persisted for two years despite repeated visits to try and address the issue. On June 13, 2022, I asked ***************************** and the Repairs Manager for SHS to devise a plan together to solve the leakage problem once and for all. They agreed that Limeberry would put standing seam metal roofing material in the area under the solar panels. Sugar Hollow removed the panels a few days later. Months passed. Limeberry offered various stories for the cause. The roof continued to leak. Limeberry did install the metal roofing, finishing March 8, 2023. The next day a representative from SHS came to my home and inspected our roof. He subsequently sent me photos, and it was manifest that the workmanship was substandard. In fact, he said it is the worst roofing job I have ever seen,... SHS refused to re-install the solar panels on the roof because an unstable roof surface presented a significant danger to property and personal safety. This was a direct result of Limeberrys ongoing failure to perform the original contract of installing a watertight roof. Collateral damage includes: Damage of furniture, flooring, increased energy costs, and mold. On March 20, I contracted with a reputable roofing company to replace all of the existing roofing. That work was completed April 11, at a cost of $20,797.40. **** Limeberry called me April 11 and refused to take responsibility for the many problems.

We billed ************* on June 11th 2020 for a roof replacement, the amount was $6,730. We fulfilled our contract completely. After we finished, the roof was entirely leak-proof. This roof didnt start leaking until after it was damaged by ******************, who improperly installed solar panels on one section. During their installation, they over tightened the bolts which crushed the underlying insulation board. This roof we installed never leaked anywhere except where SHS installed solar panels.

We have worked on Mr ****** roof in excess of 10 times, at no cost to him, to try and correct the damage done by SHS. We finally installed a new 26 ga standing seam metal roof on this section, again at no cost to *************, finished on March 8th 2023. This made the ************* tight again, despite multiple storms. We then received a letter from ************* demanding money because, SHS said the metal roof was improperly installed, which is incorrect.

I went over this new section of metal, and everything was properly installed. I met and spoke with ************* on March 8th 2023. I told him the solar panels are ready to go on and once they were back on that I would come inspect and finish any details. ************* then asked who should call SHS, I told him that he should call them because they wont return my phone calls. In fact, SHS has not returned one phone call to me personally during this entire process.

The original roof we installed for ************* was warrantied for 2 years,we installed the metal almost 1 full year after the warranty ended. The repairs and install cost us over 40 hours of our time (worth $9,000) and a metal roof valued at over $3,000. We fully intend to collect this amount from ******************. We arent trying to hold ************* accountable for any of this, but it isnt fair for him to hold us responsible for something that isnt our fault. We will not be offering ************* anything more than weve already done.
