Board of trade stated our home would be done by the end of December, it is now almost May. they haven't finished the set up on the home. We are going on 3 mortgages and we cant even turn the lights on. Electric, plumbing, underpinning, trim work, repairs and anything else has not been done yet. There is absolutely no communication with Board of trade, they are hard to get ahold of and give us false promises. They tried to get us to pay for rock to go in the footers so they didn't have to use as much concrete, and it was clearly in our contract where THEY are to dig AND pour the footers. There are bees in our home where all the cracks are not sealed and this is a brand new home. The plastic under the home is not protected from the wind blowing it away. They also told us we would have to pay for a second inspection on the footers because they didn't pass the first time, which is NOT up to us. 2 weeks ago we called them and told them there were no kitchen and bathroom drawers, they said they would order them and they would be in the following week (after we had to call and get an update) they still have not been replaced, i don't even know if they have been ordered/delivered. They are very unprofessional, they are uncommunicative, and they are VERY SLOW. Our home got delivered in February, we signed the contracts on the home in November.Business response

In response to the timeline they were given, the permits with zoning and the existing septic inspection took weeks to get approved. That part was out of my control, we were not able to obtain the building permit to be able to deliver the home until 2/15. We did run into to soft soil when footings were dug, and the amount charged was for standard footings, reason we advised it would be more due to the need for gravel and that they went deeper than the standard footing. We have changed our verbiage on the footing expense since to clarify if we run into this again. Given the time it had taken to get the permits issued I advised I would not charge them the extra fee. We have completed everything on the setup with the exception of the skirting. There are parts that we are waiting on to receive from the factory for their home, which is a few interior trim parts along with the drawers. We have been told we would have them within a week to 2 weeks but we still do not have anything from the factory. I have followed back up and reached out again for an update on that. I agree it is frustrating waiting for this to come in so their home can be complete on the inside. The ** has been issued on the home, and we found out why they didn't have power was because it wasn't disconnected to begin with. In that case they just needed to turn their main breaker back on in order to have power on the home. I have provided the home owner with this information. Weather is not working with us this week to be able to complete the underpinning, and it is scheduled to be completed first part of next week.Customer response
