I spent over $1000 at Made Trade and now Im regretting supporting this company at all. These are the reasons:1.Customer support is nearly non-existent. I tried to get in touch with them to change the size of a rug order ($500) before shipping, and it took 4 days for someone to get back to me. Good luck trying to get a question answered. You must keep emailing them to get them to answer.2.They heavily market the fact that returns are easy, but they arent. I purchased the Paper Moon Washi Table Lantern 1 at $135 (+tax) and found out after receiving it that its not returnable (apparently none of the lighting is returnable, and I now understand why). This lamp is so fragile that its nearly impossible to put it together without damaging it. It wont sit on a side table easily because the cord is so heavy and the lamp so light that it falls off with the slightest bump of the cord. The design of the lamp will eventually lead to the shade ripping at the bottom where it is attached over small metal loops. The pressure of the metal on the shade is quite pronounced and its only a matter of time before the rice paper will tear in the 3 contact areas. 3.It is impossible to leave a review on the site for items that youve purchased. So, there isnt any way I can warn others not to buy this very expensive, non-sustainable lamp! Yet there are thousands of reviews on their website, so just how where they made? I dont know because they havent answered my question (because customer service is non-existent- see #********* charge a return shipping fee for every item in your order that you want to return, so its impossible to box all the items together and ******** 1 return fee. 5.They say items ship in 2-3 days. They dont, necessarily. There is small print everywhere that you must look out for. Their website is NOT transparent. If the lamp page had said FINAL SALE only item, I would never have purchased it.
