We built a new semi-custom home in North ******* with a very reputable local home builder, 5 years ago. Installed in our home are PlyGem windows. Our home builder is synonymous with "energy efficiency" and even advertises a chocolate bunny in the attics of their homes, which will stay cool in the hot Florida summer months. Being a Florida native (born and raised in **), I know how brutal the hot ******* can be, especially for our homes (roofs, siding, exterior paint, etc.). Our last home, which we also built, using a known nationwide homebuilder was 15 years old when we moved. AC was still original, roof original and also ALL windows. Never once did we have any issues with our windows. Flash forward to our NEW "energy efficient" home, we assumed that being 15 years newer than our previous, we could expect a great efficiency from our homes windows and doors. NOPE. Since moving in (year 1), we have replaced THREE sets of windows (4-5 at a time). I am very persnickety about having our home windows cleaned after pollen season and use a professional to come out annually to do a proper cleaning. After each visit, my window cleaner has pointed out numerous windows that have failed, due to the inner film between the panes, failing. He explains, because our home gets full sun all day long, the ** protective coating begins to etch, bubble and become hazy, causing the window to appear to have a cloudy effect. Explain to me WHY this is happening? Even in our previous, builder grade home, we did not experience anything of this nature. We have since not only had to request new windows from PlyGem, which by the way is an act of God to receive, but we also have to pay someone to come out and professionally install. Shouldn't technology IMPROVE over time? PlyGem, your quality control is atrocious at best. How disappointing to know that after my 5 year warranty expires, I will have to pay $500-1000 per window to replace. PlyGem, your product is crap! Do better.Review from Barry W

Our house had a fire in 2019. In 2020 we had the contractor get a sliding door from Lowes. It was an Atrium sliding vinyl door. What a piece of c*** The rollers broke and no longer work. The warranty is c*** We can't fix it ourselves. They were going to ship us parts to fix it ourselves. Free parts but $20 to ship. (WHAT A CROCK!)If you are looking for quality replacement doors and windows, I would suggest looking elsewhere and do some research. Atrium *********************************************** would be the last place to look!Review from Sarah B

We have had them out 7 times because they cannot get the right grids in the right location in the right color. Don't know how they can run a business like this. This is the first time Consumer Reports was way off. Please look to other companies for your windows.Review from Nellie D

I have replaced 15 windows..all foggy. Currently I am waiting on 2 sashes that were under warranty that were paid for in 12/23. Cornerstone customer service said that it was a FED EX issue and that the delay was due to shipping. Fed EX would long be out of business if this were the case. Cornerstone could not tell me what plant the windows were made. Finally found out today that the windows have not even been made.Review from Jeremy Y

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. My home builder selected and installed the PlyGen windows before I purchased ************ of my 3 1/2-year-old PlyGen window panes cracked in a sub-freezing weather event. ********** referred me to the manufacturer to submit a warranty claim, which required photos. Cornerstone, which manufactures the PlyGen products, responded that "stress cracks" are not covered under their warranty. I now have to find a glass window company to replace *****************. Clearly, their product is of low quality, and they get away with it by not covering basic issues under their warranty. I wish I could replace all my windows, as I'm not confident they'll hold up over time. It's very disappointing and a terrible consumer experience.Review from Concord Village Ph 2 Condominium Association C

NO STARS!!!!! This business did stonework at *************** #2 *********************** in ****, ****.Units are less than 5 years old. Exterior stonework completed by this company started falling off units within the first year. Some stones should they fall can seriously injure or kill someone. We have contacted the company various time to have the issues corrected. We have received confirmation from Cornerstone Building Brands (CBB) stating they used a bad batch of mortar. Yet refuse to correct this or reimburse the association for the consistent repairs needed. What will it take for Cornerstone Building Brands to correct the work done at the Concord Village PH 2 **************** Child (under 10 years) was nearly hit with one of the falling stones. He could have been killed!!Company Represenitive ************************** is refusing to respond to emails or calls from the associations management group.Review from Robert N

I have dealing with brock windows and doors for the past 2 years and still have no resolve. They installed a damaged door and came 5 times to install a new one. Each new door was worse then the original. They finally stated I would receive a refund and now they won't return my calls. * **** ***** ***** **** * ***** ******* ***** ************* * ** ***** ** **** ***** ******** **** *** **** ********
