I have been trying to lose weight for some time, and although I am often successful in losing weight once I start a plan, I have not been successful with maintaining the weight loss. In search to find a program that works, I sought out the help of West Cary Wellness. I'd seen their ubiquitous commercials and sought them out with the offer of a free consultation. Upon the day of my appointment, the office seemed very busy. I was instructed to sit in a room and watch a video, but after the video, I still waited for over 2 hours. Finally, I was asked to sit in an office for my consultation. Again, it was some time before he appeared. Once in the room, Dr. ******** apologized for the long wait, asked a few introductory questions of me and then began to discuss his family and politics. Finally, I asked what was his program about. The synopsis given involved the regimen they required I follow (Ph water only, no sweets, sugar, salt, only certain vegetables, 1 hour workout 6 days a week). When I implied that this was a Keto diet, he seemed to get slightly defensive and proceeded to tell me the differences. I asked him if my age (56 at the time) and my diagnosis of Lupus would affect this strenuous regimen. he simply said, "no". As the consultation ended, he assured me that their company wold supply me with vitamin supplements and that they would be tasked with keeping me accountable. I was to check in daily with my progress and because the holidays were nearing, I was told Dr. ******* would contact me to reinforce accountability. Later, his aide came in with the amount they managed to get me financed with to pay for the supplements, and a bonus was "free" water. In a nutshell, there was no accountability monitoring, he never contacted me for the holidays, and the 6-day, hour workout made my lupus flare, and Ph water really constipates, and the supplements didn't increase energy, so I asked why am I taking them, they served no purpose--refund is demanded.

I (******** ********) contracted with WC weight loss program. I paid $3600. via **** Credit ( the max). The program was to include weight loss counseling , an individualized food plan (not a diet ) and natural vitamins The individualized food plan was actually a very restrictive ketogenic diet and I never received any counseling. More specifically I was to text Dr. B my weight daily & he would get back to me …which I did .Dr B responded to texts faithfully with the words GREAT if I loss weight and eat only vegetables if I gained weight. I only spoke to Dr. B once when I became constipated .The conversation lasted about 15 secs. Additionally I never met ***** (RN) nutrition who was supposedly the lifelong maintenance resource so people wouldn’t regain their weight back. Actually no one ever counseled or met with me after the initial sales pitch. -The following are my issues/concerns: -In my opinion Dr. Brennen is a chiropractor and the weight loss clinic is a side hustle that uses deceptive advertising , makes false promises and takes advantage of desperate people. -I never received any wt loss counseling -No nutritional /expertise education other than copied food plan sheets provided. -vitamins left in hallway - 30 day follow up was a joke ,no actual weigh in or f/u discussion. -No labs ( just bmi) &vital signs. -the cost of my 120 program $ 3600. In my opinion the WC WELLNESS weight loss program offers no real evidence based education / counseling and sustainable weight loss solutions . It’s a sham and people desperate to loose weight get taken. I am requesting a full refund .
