Deceptive/Unfair Business Practices In spite of making a cancellation of my membership and a promise from them to send me the cancellation notice via email, they failed to do so. They do not answer the phone or call back.Now they are trying to collect money through a collection agency. This is not how a reputable business should operate.As previous complainants have said they are unethical at best.Initial Complaint

Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to formally file a complaint against Title Boxing Club located in Chapel Hill. My experience with this establishment has been unsatisfactory and has raised concerns regarding their handling of membership cancellations, particularly in light of my injury.Upon sustaining a hip injury during my attendance at Title Boxing Club, I sought assistance to cancel my membership. To my surprise, I was informed that not only would I need to pay a cancellation fee of $119.99, but there were also additional expenses required. I find this to be unreasonable and unjust, especially considering the circumstances surrounding my injury.Furthermore, I was not provided with any forms to address the injury or initiate the cancellation process. I believe that as a member facing health issues directly related to my participation in their activities, I should not be burdened with financial penalties for canceling my membership.I kindly request your intervention in this matter to ensure a fair resolution. I am eager to settle this issue without incurring any undue financial strain, and I believe that the Better Business Bureau's involvement will facilitate a just outcome.Thank you for your attention to this matter.Sincerely,********************* ************Initial Complaint

When a friend and I signed up for this gym we were told by****** the person at the front desk that she would put in a cancelation date for September 13 2021. She did not do this and we were each charged two additional months. I have tried to resolve this problem with the location but they continue to stall. While they admit that they did not put in the cancelation as requested and they say they are working on getting me a refund it has been several weeks and they have not been following up with me.Business response

more info from the consumer: The business has refunded me in full and was very polite when they called to let me know. I am happy with the resolution.
