      I made a reservation on 02/21//2021 on the Bignon website for my hair to be braided on 03/10/202o at the *************************************** location. I requested for Cemillia to braid my hair and the website requires for you to place a $25 deposit to hold your reservation. The issue I am having is that when I get my hair braid on 03/10/2021 I paid $85 which was told to me by the owner when she called me asking if it was ok for someone else to braid my hair b/c Cemillia is not available at the time I reserved. I stated that is ok and I will be there at the time I reserved. I got my hair braided by the owner on 03/10/2021 and I paid $100 for my hair to braid and I know she quoted me $85 but it was additional money b/c the length of the hair and then I tipped her $20. I used a card that do not use a lot to make my reservation and I just closed the account and notice that I was never refunded my $25 so I have been calling and no one is returning my call on this issue.

We contacted Ms. ****** and didn't hear back. After five months, Ms. ****** contacted us and requested a refund and mentioned to the receptionist that she closed her credit card account. Our manager reached out to Ms. ****** by phone several times to resolve the issue and she did not get any answer or a call back. We are so sorry for any confusion. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund the deposit back to a closed account. On July 29, 2021, at 10:21 AM, we received a phone call from Ms. ****** about her refund. We will be glad to refund the deposit once she tells us how to process it. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/08/17) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I never received a call back prior to this complaint nor a call back after the complaint from manager or owner. My refund have been sent to me by cash App or any other way.       On July 20, 2021 I was scheduled to receive a service from Bignons hair braiding at 12 pm. When I arrived, the stylist informed me that the salon did not have the color hair extensions needed to render the service scheduled. I was scheduled for a touch-up service. The purpose of this service is to remove the previously installed hair extensions around the perimeter of the client's hair and replace them with new extensions. The extensions that were to be replaced were in the color 1B (black). The color the stylist had available was 2 (brown color). As one would imagine, having two different color hair extensions is not only jarring to the eye, but it was also not what was requested. In an effort to solve the problem, I left the salon and purchased hair extensions in the color that matched my current extensions. The service price quoted included hair extensions. However, despite the salon not providing extensions, I was still held responsible for the entirety of the service price.

When booking her appointment, Ms. ******** did not specify the desired color for her hair style. Unfortunately, when she arrives for her appointment, we were out of the desired color (1B). We suggested to reschedule her appointment until we received our next hair shipment. However, Ms. ******** opted to buy her desired hair color not force to. I would like to point out that our touch up service is provided with complementary hair to the client. We usually use less than a pack of hair at the cost of $5.00 for touch up service. We will be glad to provide her with a $5.00 coupon for her next service at Bignon's. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/07/22) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I was not offered the option to reschedule my appointment. Additionally, the original style was completed at this location. Meaning, the salon was aware prior to booking my service that they did not have the color hair in stock that was provided previously. If the salon does not keep that information on file, I should have been asked what color hair was needed. I was not asked. With the knowledge the hair shipment was delayed, the appointment should not have been scheduled until the material needed to complete the service was available to the client. As stated in the response, hair is provided complimentary as a part of the service price. It was not provided nor was a solution offered in the salon. Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2021/07/26) */ Ms.********** Like we stated in our previous response. We only use 1 pack for a touch-up which is one to two rows around your hairline. It takes 3 to 4 packs for the whole head for the Box Braids style you did. We are willing to give you a discount for the cost of 1 pack at $5.99 showing on your receipt plus tax for a total of $6.43 for your next service.
