I purchased a warranty. When the car had an issue, they refused to cover it for 20 days without any legal reason. When I threatened a lawsuit, their attorney finally got involved, but they refused to cover the recommended repair. They constantly delay approving the repairs costing me significant time and expense without my vehicle. It has been 2 weeks since the newest issue without warranty approval.At this point, I would like them to refund the entire purchase price of the car. I am contemplating filing a lawsuit.Business response

McLaren Charlotte fundamentally disagrees with the Customer's characterization of events related to his vehicle and vehicle repair. In or around October 2023, the Customer had his vehicle evaluated by German Car Repair in **********, ******** German Car Repair recommended a number of repairs, including replacement of the vehicle's transfer case. Thereafter, the Customer initiated a warranty claim with the warranty administrator. The warranty administrator then paid for the vehicle to be evaluated at ********** in *******, ******** Based on it's evaluation of the vehicle, ********** recommended that the vehicle's transfer case oil needed to be replaced, and that the actual transfer case did not need to be replaced at that time. The costs of various repairs, including the cost to change the fluids in the transfer case, were paid under warranty.
In May 2024, the Customer presented another warranty claim based on an inspection of the vehicle by German Car Repair in **********, *** On May 22, 2024--the day before the Customer initiated this ****************************************************, through counsel, informed the Customer and German Car Repair via email that the warranty claim had been approved. McLaren Charlotte reiterated the approval on May 24, 2024. At this time, the repairs have been completed and paid for under warranty. As a result, McLaren Charlotte believes the Customer's ******************** Complaint is without merit.
Despite the Customer's repeated threats to initiate litigation, McLaren Charlotte, through counsel, continues to be in contact with the Customer in a good effort to resolve the Customer's concerns.
