      I started with Premier Credit Union with a line of credit years ago I then purchased a vehicle from a private seller through Premier CU that merged with Charlotte Metro to become Skylar CU. I had a reduction in pay and got behind on the line of credit and it charged off. I put my truck in the shop to be told that it has been repossessed due to the line of credit being charged off for $1234. The truck is worth ******. I'm trying to understand why the truck was repossessed and the line of credit was not collateralized by the vehicle that I got long after the line of credit. The other issue is I have not been mailed a notice of repossession or have I received a phone call notifying me of the action they were taking.

      On June 21st this companies employee committed fraud and improperly used my social security number , I have notified his manager and supervisor of this matter and they have taken this lightly and have violated my consumer rights .I have in detailed attached complaint with all information . this company has done whatever to hide the truth but I actually have the evidence proving that this company has willfully been noncompliant with state and federal laws but also has committed Fraud.

      I am rejecting this response because: They need to respond to all correspondence and the BBB Time frame as well, to ensure the safety of my consumer rights that have been violated, I am also requesting the company provides me with there terms and conditions agreement and policy. Also their licensing and bonding agent for Small claims or Arbitration !

      Call center was unable to help me and they tried. I keep being told a specific department has to help me. I woke up and my acct with my money in it was deleted. I was only supposed to have one checking acct closed and they closed my savings account with my money in it.

      I would like to Complaint about Skyla credit Union for taking insufficient fees to my account.They do not paid the merchant but take out $29 fees every single time and keep doing it. This is just not right. I would like to get a refund of a total of $58.

      ************, your account will receive an insufficient funds fee anytime an authorized transaction from a merchant or written check attempts to clear your account but the funds are not available to pay the transactions.
      A review of your account history shows there have been several conversations concerning how fees can occur on your account and how to remedy the situation. These conversations date back to 2019. In addition, the credit union has previously provided refunds for fees as a one-time courtesy.


      Please contact any merchant that you have authorized to debit your account for services if you wish to terminate that authorization.

      About 2 years ago my bank card was hacked, so now before I go to sleep I try to remember to lock my card every night. I locked my card last night and this morning I cannot access my card. I cannot use my card at all. They did not send a notice about the maintenance. I signed up for 24/7 mobile banking, so I should be able to access my account at any time. I have prescriptions to pay for and I can't because they blocked the card controls.

      This credit union is repeatedly late in posting ach direct deposits delaying access to funds for customers routing calls to call centers when the credit union is closed who have no answers as to why the deposits are delayed and/or when they will be available. No resolution is repeatedly provided and no reason as to why the delay in posting the deposits. Customers shouldn't have to contact the "call center" to check on a direct deposit every week if the employer has done their due diligence and wired the funds to the bank. Providing competent customer service representatives who can research direct deposits would also be helpful instead of representatives who sound like they are answering their house phone, totally unprofessional and have no knowledge of your account or how to resolve the issue.

Skyla Credit Union credits deposits to accounts on the day that they are received. Several factors can cause a deposit to post at various times, such as, how the deposit was sent the credit union and when the deposit was sent to the credit union.

      It would be beneficial for **************** to visit her local branch so that her account can be discussed specifically.

      I am rejecting this response because: The deposit I receive from my employer is a ACH deposit that is supposed to be made available the same time each week on Friday this isn't a manual deposit that is being made the availability of the deposit had been delayed repeatedly and only made avaionce I call and complain about access to the deposit then it mysteriously appears on my account minutes later.

      I am writing to you to complain about Skyla Credit Union. I have never done business with this company but they have added 2 unknown identical accounts to my credit and without proof or verification have refused to remove the debt. I attempted to contact Skyla Credit Union to resolve this issue, but they have not responded to my requests nor have they resolved the issue. Please contact me to let me know how to resolve this issue. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

      Skyla Federal Credit Union has reviewed and investigated BBB Claim #********. Our response is as follows:

      Mr. La ******* **************************** joined Skyla Federal Credit Union (formerly known as Charlotte Metro Credit Union) on July 26, 2017.The validity of his identity was confirmed through government photo identification, national credit bureau information and employment verification.

      ************** maintained an active account until July 15, 2020. At that time, the checking account entered into a negative status and remained negative for more than 30 days. In accordance with our policy, the account was charged-off on August 28, 2020. This also resulted in a charge-off balance of $123.00 being reported to the national credit bureau reporting agencies.

      Mr. ****** complaint also indicated a second account reporting to his credit file. ************** applied for a personal loan on April 12,2019. The loan was approved and was paid monthly until July 24, 2019, when the loan fell into delinquent status. However, the loan was paid in full on September 10, 2019. Skyla Federal Credit Union is accurately reporting the loan status as Paid to the national credit bureau reporting agencies.

      I am currently a pursuant of FCRA 15 US Code ****(e)(b) information has been furnished on my credit report by this corporation that is misleading and unfair. This corporation furnished a charge off on my credit report that they wrote off and still are trying to collect on this alleged debt which is illegal. Also you've violated numerous laws including :15 US Code **** (B) Obligations with respect to disclosures of personal information.15 US Code ****a(2)(B) Exclusion from consumer report 15 US Code **** (a) Abusive Practice I will be submitting this claim to Attorney General , BBB and CFPB until this resolved for your deceptive forms of business. I demand that you remove this misleading information from my report immediately or I will seek monetary damages for violation of my rights in my city and state 15 USC **** (e)(b) under 15 USC ****n civil liability because Ive been violated.

      Skyla CU has reviewed and investigated BBB Claim #********. Our response is as follows:


       - On June 19, 2021, your account had an opening positive balance of $2.13.
       - On June 19, 2021, a debit transaction for $50.00 was posted to the account, leaving the account negative $-*****
       - While multiple transactions occurred between June 19, 2021, and July 15, 2021 (credits and debits), the account remained in a negative status.
       - In accordance with policy and member agreement, the account was closed and charged off on August 2, 2021, since it had been in negative status for more than 30 days.
       - Repeated notifications to you to resolve the debts on both accounts did not receive a return response.

      Skyla CU does not issue ****-C for debts owed to the credit union. Skyla does report all debts owed to the national credit bureau reporting agencies. The information is being reported accurately and in accordance with FCRA regulations.

      Skyla CU has reviewed and investigated the complaint fully and considers all concerns addressed and the matter closed.

      I am rejecting this response because: you stated you don't have to send me an ****-c which you actually do as the consumer I can request any and everything from you because I am the original creditor. Without myself you are nothing because the money I lend you is money that you lend to others. You have violated my rights on numerous occasions within this response you violated 15 US CODE **** e(b) Compliance and Procedures , 15 US Code **** (a)(3). Again I am the consumer and the original creditor I am the only one that can validate anything on my credit report. You have given no type of proof , paper trail , wet signature or anything to validate that that alleged debt is mine. I am asking you to immediately remove that from my credit report or I will be filing litigations against your company in small claims court and I will win. Each violation is worth a 1000$ each.       -Skyla CU is the recently new name for Charlotte Metro Credit Union. Skyla CU may appear as a new name on consumer credit reports, but it was formerly Charlotte Metro Credit Union. 

      -Skyla CU has not canceled or forgiven a debt owed to the credit union; therefore, a ****-C would not be issued. The debt reflected on your credit report is still owed to the credit union.

      -For your records, Skyla CU can provide you with your account statements for 2021. Please confirm that you would like to receive these documents and a correct mailing address.

      Skyla bank received $1,695.58 of myself and my husbands money. It was deposited into a closed account and I spoke with several customer service reps who validated this. We have been given the runaround and we have proof that the money was sent to the bank but they have not given us our money.

      Hello,

      To continue reviewing this complaint, Skyla CU will need additional information or clarification:

      1. The attached pictures appear to be a conversation with a merchant and someone named ***********************. If this complaint is for *********************** and she is a member of Skyla CU, she will need to file a complaint to receive account information. ********************** would not be able to discuss an account that belonged to a different person than the complainant.

      2. The attached pictures do not show proof that funds were sent to Skyla CU. There is a picture that shows the merchant statement that "a refund was sent to the bank account information on the tax returns" but there is no clarifying information as to which bank is in reference. 

      3. The attached picture also shows the merchant statement that "the funds that were sent to the bank, were returned to the merchant by the receiving bank" and that the merchant then mailed a cashier check to the intended party. Skyla would have no way of knowing what happened to the funds once they were returned to the merchant.

      Skyla would need the following information:

      1. When were the funds sent to Skyla?

      2. In what name were the funds sent?

      3. To what Skyla account number were the funds sent?

      In preparation, an account review is being performed of the listed complainant. However, that account has been closed since August 2022. Any additional information would be helpful.
