Though I requested membership cancellations on October 30th, 2023, Crunch Fitness charged me for memberships in November. The gym has refused to refund those charges. Additionally, they have claimed that another fee is due and have submitted $87.23 to collections. The total charges are as follows:09/25/23: $1.00 Sign-up Fee 1 09/25/23: $1.00 Sign-up Fee 2 10/10/23: $10.00 Personal Training Fee 10/30/23: $22.24 Membership Fee 1 10/30/23: $22.24 Membership Fee 2 11/30/23: $72.00 Membership fee and annual fee 1, failed attempt 11/30/23: $72.00 Membership fee and annual fee 2, failed attempt 12/11/23: $87.23 November membership fee and annual fee 1 + late fee 01/03/24: $72.00 November membership and annual fee 2, again I am requesting assistance with retrieving the following:$159.23 from membership fees paid after the cancellation request $87.23 that is currently in collections My household purchased two memberships at this gym in September. I called several times to obtain information about classes and pricing before joining online. On October 30th, my husband tried to cancel in person. The employee refused and said there was a 3-month commitment in place. I told the manager that our contracts did not mandate a 3-month commitment. I then asked him to cancel both memberships. The manager refused, reiterating that I should have known about the three-month commitment. After reviewing the contract, speaking with my bank, and consulting the Crunch Fitness billing company, I returned to the gym. I asked the manager to show me where our contracts mandated a 3-month commitment. He did not find it. There was no 3-month commitment in the contract. Yet the manager again refused to cancel the membership. Instead, he changed his stance, insisting my husband and I had agreed to annual memberships.

Terrible staff. When I went to cancel, I was told there were commitments that I had to abide to the that were not in my contract. I printed out my contract and what the studio was telling me was not in my contract. They would not cancel my membership until I paid Additional fees and three months of payments. I'm still currently arguing with them, and they still will not cancel my membership. The staff's ignorance and rudeness is unbelievable. They were doing a grand opening special and that is why I joined in the first place. After going a few times, I realized it was not for me and I continued with the gym I was previously @. It was just overall not a good vibe from any of the employees. There are plenty of great gyms out there, so certainly do not make this mistake.
