I received tape in extensions on 7/6/2023 from Kenna Kunijo Salon. This was a brand new product that the salon was offering and very new to them. I was told that they were safe and wouldn't damage my hair. After installation, they became so itchy and uncomfortable that it kept me up at night. I went back to the salon to express my concerns and I was told they were fine and that my head was adjusting to the extension. The extensions continued to itch. I was told that they would last 6 to 8 weeks and for a total of 6 months with move up appointments every 8 weeks. After 5 weeks of having them in, my scalp rejected one of the extensions and the others were barely hanging on by a few hairs. I have had hair loss, breakage and thinning from this product and I was told by 4 experts including *********** - the type of extension, the person at the salon who removed my extensions, my dermatologist and another salon that the cause was improper installation. The salon never offered an in person consultation until after I had mentioned that I had not received one and they had "stood by their assessment" that was never made by actually looking at my hair and at that point I felt that it was hostile and they didn't have my best interest at heart. They also refused to provide me with the rest of my pictures that they took. The extensions did not last the agreed upon time, they caused major damage and were extremely uncomfortable. I held up my part of the bargain which was to braid my hair at night and not put conditioner on the extension. I want a refund for the hair and in return they can have the extensions back.
