I booked a $330 service with Lucid Hair Studio for January 25, 2022, via Vagaro.com. A credit card was required by the business in order to complete the booking. After a service was complete, as I booked online, I was presented with a $647.74 charge to my credit card account. As I objected to the charge, the owner of the business, who performed the services as well, advised that prices on Vagaro.com site are incorrect. In addition, she cannot know the price until she sees the client's hair. However, knowing that I booked a $330 service she did not inform me that final amount will be much higher. Since credit card information was in the business possession, $647.74 was charged. I could agree with $368.50 charge, as I agreed with $33 gratuity (10% of service amount of $330) and purchased product, hopefully amounting for the rest. Business did not provide me with a receipt after multiple requests via email. In addition, my credit card was charged a total of $926.99. Two transactions appeared on the statement: $647.74 and $279.25. After multiple email communications with the business and Vagaro.com a credit of $279.25 was issued and I am left with $647.74 charge on my card for $330 service.I see this as a fraud and filed a dispute with my credit card company. Vagaro.com takes no responsibility for incorrect and misleading information on their site. Business owes me another $279.25. I ask this amount to be refunded back to me and sales receipt provided.
