              I have gone here for over 12 years and I am a 3x transplant recipient. I came into the office on Wednesday for some basic blood work. There were so many patients in there not wearing the proper face mask and Cloth Masks!!!! No one at the front told these people as they were checking in that they needed a surgical masks or to pull it up. I should feel safe when I come to my freaking transplant center...That's where mask wearable should be in full force. At the start of the pandemic ysll were good with stopping people at the door for a proper mask. The pandemic isn't over and the hospital rates and death rates in Mecklenburg have not dropped enough for people to just come strolling in with no mask. And the actual lab manager named **************************** came up to me WITH NO MASK?! NO MASK!! I'm a transplant patient and we have no protection against this virus...her behavior is abhorrent and shouldn't be in that field if she doesn't care about covid. I wouldn't even give this a rating if yall allowed it. SMDH

              I have spoken with this patient and she detailed the event for me. I told her that I was grateful for this feedback and that I would be meeting with the staff and the lab manager on 2/14/22 to discuss and review the following.... -the significance of increased monitoring in the waiting areas in terms of proper masking -a reminder that as a health care worker they are to *** a mask at all times -all patient complaints are to be viewed as an opportunity to improve processes and are to be escalated appropriately The patient was given my direct number to contact me for any concerns in the future.
