I'm not happy with brightspeed since it took over CenturyLink. Too many outages I didn't have this with ***************** can't get to customer service or an actual person. I only have a landline..... no cell phone. So when my phone goes out or my internet I don't have any way to communicate. This is leading me to fine another company after over 30 yrs with CenturyLink/now brightspeed. Not a happy customer! Very SAD customer service! You need to think about the retired people who don't have cell phones bc they don't want another bill! Not everyone wants a cell phone!Review from Amber W

I asked for internet service to be started The week before I finish moving in guess what we didn't have any internet by child is online school only and needs it she's all yr around. So I went else where for my wifi needs and I'm up in going the same day I told bright seed to keep there box and guess what decieds to show up a week late after I told them to keep it at that point soo guess who either has to pay for the box or drive a hour some where to drop it off and who's out still me I am not brightspeedReview from Gilbert F

brightspeed has an outage over a week in my area, the only answer they can give me is were working on it, this is un acceptable. were in a rural area and dont have many internet options.What kind of techs. does this company working for them, i think a class action law suit would be the next step. how can a company get away with treating paying customers this way.Surf internet is coming our way soon, needless to say i know which company im going withReview from Matthew T

The only internet that i can get thats stable enough to use witch is subpar at best (3Mbps) paying over 20 dollers for this service is outrages. Despite all that having the internet just stop working and it takes 2 weeks for a tech to come out and on top of that they threten to charge me $99 to get it fixed when its not our fault humm something is a bit off hereReview from Chelsea M

Currently on the phone with Spectrum switching services after dealing with Brightspeed customer service. We moved into our new home 3 weeks ago and the internet has gone out 3 times since then. The customer service is HORRIBLE. We have called 10 times and keep getting ping ponged to different departments, hung up on, and they obviously dont care about their customers. We have been without internet for 2 days and have requested someone to come out immediately. Everyone tells us something different and we have just about had it. We really wanted to like Brightspeed and keep them since they are the only fiber internet in our area, but we would much rather have better customer service interactions and pay more than deal with Brightspeed again. We will be letting our entire neighborhood know of this experience and will do everything to guide them away from dealing with Brightspeed themselves.Review from Edward O

I bought property in ******, ** .When I called Brightspeed for internet, they looked up the address as *********************** They failed to put the word "West" in the address. An installer arrived after giving him the correct address over the phone. At this time, we were advised that we DID NOT have internet at our property. The installer advised they could run a new line to our property for the amount of $2000. We declined. The installer then canceled the ticket and left. 2 months later, we received a bill from Brightspeed for internet. I called and the operator confirmed it was a mistake and said she corrected it. A few months later, I again received another bill from Brightspeed. Once again I called them and they assured me they corrected the mistake and showed that we had a zero balance and no service.Yesterday I was notified by my credit monitoring that Global filed a collection on my account. I NEVER received any notification from this company about this matter. I spoke with Brightspeed for the 3rd time this morning and was again told that they deleted my account and that I have a $0 balance.They are affecting my credit rating in a very negative way!Review from John C

Job wouldn't have the patience to deal with this crooked company!! ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! We signed up, and paid... then crickets. We called a dozen times. NOT. A. SINGLE. ENGLISH-SPEAKING. PERSON in the entire company!! They would keep repeating what we said, then respond "oh sorry I no understand" and pass us to the next agent. It was an utter utter nightmare. No one ever set up anything, or informed us of any intention to set up anything. I have an ulcer named brightspeed now. Joking aside, save yourself the most frustrating experience you will ever have and run in the opposite direction of these scammers.Review from Jaclyn A

Disgusting horrible atrocious. We have asked for a technician and were given a window for them to service the account and they never showed up. We tried calling multiple times and the last time the technician cancelled our ticket on his own without ever showing. I am contacting Channel 7 news. The nerve of them to treat a disabled veteran who relies on the internet technology to assist him with his hearing disability has no access to this because of this.Review from JM W

This so-called company, Brightspeed, is as useless as a piece of malarkey. HORRIBLE! USELESS! IDIOTIC! We have been without internet for now 11 days and I had a scheduled tech visit for today between 8 - 5 that was scheduled last Sunday (AS THAT WAS FIRST AVAILABLE). Called to check on status of arrival window and an employee told me "oh that ticket number was closed." Say what???!!! WHY???? I asked because I am still without internet. I had to wait this long for a tech visit and now you tell me someone closed it...WTH????!!!! Did they try and accommodate my requests to get someout out late today or even Monday, well NO, shocker! Come to find out earliest now will be next Wed. This is now, again, my problem when someone there at Brightspeed royally screwed up. I don't care who you talk to they are all clueless. I supposedly was talking to a supervisor toward the end of my almost 2 hour call and he was just as dumb as the others. No one there knows what customer service means and frankly, they don't care. Brightspeed is not a business and needs to close their doors. The rural areas need other internet choices!!!!!Review from Linda W

No emergency services provided. Every time it rains service goes out somewhere in the county.This is in a rural area running on outdated and degrading wiring. Calling Bright speed's customer service is pointless only given excuses and told there is no outage when the phone goes out. the I have a local friend, just had surgery and house phone has been out since 7-10 with an expected repair given for 8-15. This is beyond belief. How a company can operate like this in the ** and take money for services not rendered is totally unacceptable. This company is awful. I give it a minus 10. Should be able to do less that a zero.
