Review: Beware of NMLD LLC - Predatory Towing Practices I recently had a terrible experience at the ********************** where we parked our truck and signed in as instructed. The very next day, our truck was towed by NMLD LLC, a company operating under two different DOT/MC numbers listed in the ***** database. Shockingly, NMLD LLC does not have the authority to operate a towing company in ************** and lacks the required insurance.NMLD LLC preys on unsuspecting truck drivers at the travel plaza. The sign-up sheet appears to be bait, and the company promptly tows trucks without drivers present. Here are the main issues we faced:Lack of Proper Signage: The parking area lacked adequate and visible signage indicating towing regulations, violating legal requirements.Immediate Towing: Our vehicle was towed within an unreasonable timeframe, clearly targeting it for predatory reasons.Excessive Fees: The towing and storage fees were exorbitant and not aligned with industry standards or legal limitations. No Prior Notification: We were not notified or given a reasonable opportunity to rectify the alleged violation before the vehicle was towed, despite providing our contact information on the sign-in sheet.Unauthorized Operation: According to the ***** website, NMLD LLC is not authorized to tow vehicles in **************. Their authority only covers general freight and towing in ********, failing to comply with ************* Carrier guidelines. We have reported this predatory towing company to CMPD, DOT, the City of ********** WSOCTV, *****, and the ************************ The invoice we received for $10,000 is outrageous, and we urge others to avoid parking at this location.********************************* NMLD Towing LLC DOT# ******* & DOT# ******* Invoice #**** - August 7, 2024 Impound/towing: $7,000.00 Storage fee: $1,500.00 Administration fee gate fee: $1,500.00 Total: $10,000.00

All of your words are false accusations out of your frustration!! The truth of the matter is that you parked on a Friday and was towed on Monday, which was way after your 48hr time limit!!

This predatory company is the worst and should be ran out of business with there practices. 7-Eleven should be boycotted as long as they allow this towing company to prey on the very same truck drivers that spend money with them. On May 28, 2024 I parked at the 7-eleven at ************************** for the night. When I arrived around midnight I asked cashier did they still allow free parking. Cashier informed me that they do allow free parking, but then warned me that I should sign in their book and to make sure everything was right because they have a tow company that works their lot that will boot and tow you without warning and it will be expensive. After signing in to the book I went to the truck and went to sleep. Around 3 am someone knocked on my truck and woke me up. I rolled the window down and asked what was wrong. The individual that was standing there asked me did I sign into the book in the store. When I said yes, he said ok. This is when I noticed the cables in my mirror hanging off of my drive axles on my truck. I ask the guy did you boot me. He says yes but since you signed in Im going to take it off. I could not sleep anymore that night. The free parking is not worth the hassle. They will boot you without even checking the book first to see if you have signed in. I can only imagine what would have happened if I had not been in the truck that night. That type of behavior is unacceptable from the towing company and from 7-eleven for allowing them to do it. These are the practices that you support every time you spend money at the 7- Eleven at ****************************************************************************************.

These scamming companies are starting to pop up all over, this on preys on truckers going threw Charlotte *** They illegally compounded 2 of my companies vehicles. I do currently have surveilance team on them and am just documenting their illegal activities. The good book says everything done in darkness will come to light. I am just helping the matter out a bit. This is your warning! Stop preying on truck drivers, and if you must keep doing it. Bettter hope to God your household is clean.

They booted one of our semi trailers which was our error. BUT, when they called us for payment they would not give us their Federal ID # which is illegal and we will be notifying they *** with all the information we have. We will also be contacting the local police department to make them aware this company cannot request payment without giving their company information. It is an *** requirement they give valid W-9 information. We had no choice because they were the company that put the boot on but we will be following through with both the *** and the local police ***** I understand they are running a business but they need to do it legally.

This company was assigned to do a tow through roadside assistance with our insurance company. The wait time was long to begin with, but as I waited and time got shorter, I noticed the time was starting to repeatedly be pushed back. When I called the company, he stated someone was on the way. They never towed the car. Eventually the car was towed by the police after it had been sitting too long. This company was dispatched again to pick the car up from the impound and marked the job completed, but the car was never towed to the mechanic, costing us more money (we are charged daily for storing). We reported multiple times that the car could not be put in neutral and rode by to make sure the car was in the exact location that we reported, and it was. Not sure what the problem was, but very disappointed.

Im sorry for the miscommunication between you myself and your insurance company. But when we get dispatched out to jobs they never tell us whether the vehicle can be put into neutral. We have had this problem for years now. And it makes the towing companies look bad, like their ineffective to do their job. But I do apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this may have caused.

Anytime a person has to deal with a towing company is a negative reason but these guys take the cake. Unprofessional and overall scammers. They only take cash payments- i wonder why? Pathetic excuse for a company and I pray no one has to resort to using them ever again!
