We had an awful experience. Three diff sales **** assured me there'd be no unexpected charges. But they showed up & quoted $859 more in charges for items they required they pack. $250 was for the ************** to be crated which involved placing a scrap of cardboard on the outside of the moving blanket over the glass door. The blanket was incl, the cardboard was $250!? There also was a large increase b/c we had more items; our only issue on this was 3 items that were in the quoted inventory, they claimed were not, so we were charged for addtl space calculated for those regardless of the fact they were on the quote. They know you have no choice but to proceed once they arrive to a packed up sold-house! The service was abominable! Communication was rude & unprofessional. I was told many times Id get a call back the next day, but it never happened, after 10 days Id call again. I was yelled at & admonished that we signed the **ntract - which didnt support their ****************** of our property took place 3 mos later (they stored it for .50 per cu. ft, even tho I was verbally told .40). At delivery, I took pics proving their crating was a sham, they agreed it wasnt proper & offered to refund PART of that charge IF we signed a release stating we withdraw any **mplaints& wouldnt give a bad review nor report to the BBB. What a poor attempt to quiet an unhappy customer. They werent offering a settlement to agree upon, they were offering to refund fees they should never have charged! I wonder how many people needed the money enough to agree to be quiet about the ************** Scheduling the delivery was terrible as well. Days changed, calls werent returned &finally they set the delivery date for a day that wasnt good for us. This ** is predatory; the sales people lie, the cust service is unjust & cruel. It was clear that cust satisfaction & fair practices don't exist in this **. They got our money & enjoyed treating me terribly. Don't give them your business.Best American Movers

Customer first called for a moving quote September 16, 2023, did not reserve her parents move till March 8, 2024. Yes, customer spoke with 3 different sales people; everything is always in writing, so there is no confusion, The customer added additional items to shipment and did not advise company prior to move date of additional items to be moved. Customer was charged for total size of shipment and was only charged for space of items being moved. Customer admits that they added additional items, total volume charges were correct. Customer was given option to leave additional items behind or take them,we were the ones surprised when we arrived. It is the customer responsibility to advise if there are items, which they failed to disclose. Estimate clearly state along with bill of lading that if customer adds items, that they will be charged.
Customer did not want to pay for the additional space, driver tried to explain to customer. Sorry, she felt everyone was rude, by trying to inform her ahead of loading of additional charges. We could have addressed this situation, prior to day of pick up if we were informed. Company did contact customer prior to pick up day and, customer said nothing additional.
Customers making it sound as if we held items in storage, against their wishes. Customer requested storage and it was provided, based on the terms of the agreement. Customer was given 1 month free storage based on the agreement. The agreement clearly states 50 cents a cube for each additional month based on the size of the shipment, which was honored.
The company offered customer a reduced cost to packing as goodwill, through our claims service. We also, removed the unpacking, which customer stated they would handle for $66.00, even though we did it at delivery. She accepted, but still wanted to be able to file and return for addition discount, so there was no settlement.. Once settlement is reached everybody is required to sign a full and final, stating all issued have been addressed. She still wanted to seek other refunds, so matter was not closed. Customer was treated fairly, we are a good company, and customer was delivered in the allowed time frame requested. Customer initial was ready supposedly middle of May, then changed till 6/26, then changed till the 6/28, shipment was delivered by 7/2 confirmed by customer. Delivery window is 3-10 business days from the *** 6/28 we were well within the window
Company is not unjust or unfair, we do not buy silence, but every Industry requires a settlement agreement, when dealing with claims issues. Customer threatened to file complaints, even though issue was addressed, even though she admits items were added and not advised to company. The 2 issues were storage, which is clearly indicated in writing , and we did offer goodwill discount on packing. We try for total customer satisfaction, but sometimes we just cant make everybody totally , but we are fair and just.Jennifer J.

Great they provided those dates; however, I still dont know why theyre bothered we didnt book the move for 6 months. Wed have loved to sell the house sooner, but I clearly communicated the situation. It was never an issue until she wanted to yell at me for any reason she could find. Its completely false that we didnt disclose thered be additional items. When I spoke to the salesperson to say the house sold, wed need to schedule the move soon, I told him thered be more than anticipated & he said we could do a new inventory to update the quote accordingly. But wed be paying for the space used, so I didnt feel the need to do that. However, they used the items counted (1 queen bed, 3 desks 45 boxes etc.) and calculated all things that were not on that to determine the additional costs. Like I said, three items that were on the estimate were counted as additional. The man that was on site managing this was not rude. PT was extremely rude every step of the way, so her insinuating that I was upset at the cost & took that as rude is ridiculous.I in no way have indicated they stored the items against our will clearly that wasnt said. I said they stored it for 3 months & had been told a lower cost verbally. What about this statement makes it sound like we didnt want storage? This person has a hard time sticking to the facts, because they're hard to argue if she stays on track. The reductions in packing fees was because we packaged some of the items ourselves the way they wanted it done. In regards to the whopping $66 for unpacking, we did the unpacking. There was no goodwill involved. My case in point, she continues to say we were looking for additional discounts. We never received, nor were offered any discounts. The $66 for packing were things we did instead of them, not a discount. The items that stayed on there were things they required be done their way at their cost. The crating issue was absurd & to my shock, she agreed it wasnt right. BUT we didnt get that refunded, because they wanted to handle it as if it were a discount, meaning wed have to sign the settlement agreement. The credit offered wasnt even for the full charge that I proved to be unwarranted. There was never any effort made toward fairness nor customer service. Regarding the delivery, mid-May was an estimated time that the home would be ready & never firm, we paid them to store it until we needed it. I never implied they werent within the window allowed for delivery. The issue I described was changes they made last minute with terrible communication. It was consistent with the complete disregard for customer service that was displayed throughout our experience. This is how you treat an elderly veterans daughter moving her parents, obviously youre a huge failure at being a good & fair company. To review, her attempts to defend my complaints were the following lies: We didnt say anything about additional items not true. We specifically discussed my father decided he wanted to move tools he no longer needed, & the TV we were hoping to move ourself, but were concerned if it would fit in my car. Clearly it shouldnt have been a surprise. Next lie, I implied they stored our goods against our will - No idea where that even comes from. She tries to make it sound like we changed dates, also not true. We gave estimated dates w/context along the way. Lastly, the biggest lie of all is they even know about goodwill discounts fairness customer service just treatment total customer satisfaction. Id describe them as very rude, completely unfair, uncaring, dismissive, unprofessional, and lie about getting back to the customer 99% of the time. I extended as much patience as possible throughout this awful experience for two reasons: I have a moral compass, and I didnt trust this company wouldnt completely s**** us over if we didnt play nice until the delivery was done. 1 starI am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the services provided by this moving company. My recent experience has been nothing short of appalling, marked by a series of unprofessional and unethical practices.Initially, I was quoted a fee of $4,500 for my move. However, on the day of the move, I was charged an additional $660 without prior notice or justification. Following this, my belongings did not arrive at the destination for a period of TWO MONTHS. During this time, I made numerous attempts to communicate with the company, yet received minimal and often inadequate responses.When my items finally arrived, I was given less than 24 hours' notice, despite having previously informed their team that I would require several days to secure the necessary elevator reservations. Furthermore, I was informed that an additional $600 (and $1900) in cash was required before my belongings could be delivered into my apartment. This demand was made after they parked in my buildings premises without authorization or confirmation from me, in a situation where the buildings elevators had not been booked for the move.Due to banking restrictions, I was unable to withdraw the amount requested, and therefore, I requested that the delivery be postponed by one day. I was then charged an additional $700, with the stipulation that full payment be made before my items were unloaded.The culmination of these issues was the discovery that several of my belongings were damaged, including a Peloton bike that is no longer functional. This experience has left me with the impression that the company operates in a dishonest manner, exploiting customers by demanding excessive fees far beyond the initial quote. Little to no useful communication, only dates and timelines to their terms that are all hypothetical, and only continuously telling you to reference the contract which was never individually reviewed and is completely their game.. they broke many items, delivered on a Holiday and said it would be another 650$ to postpone a day. Anywhere you turn to try and work ANYTHING out better towards you, there will be a cost thrown at you. Before they even arrived to the house they tried to throw on another hypothetical 2500$ when it was literally NO problem when they did arrive. I had fought with MANY different people who think it's okay to fight right back with you. The customer service is completely degrading to you. You are NOT a customer, you are a number and they will treat you as such. How managers of a company think it's okay to literally fight with a customer is beyond me. You'd think they would know where their own trucks were but the responses received on any questions whatsoever is that "they don't need to tell me that." Rude, no communication, talking to you on demeaning and condescending tones, and very one-sided as to their operation. And the actual physical movers? They contract out. Besides the fact that they are all from European countries so you're unable to communicate appropriately with them... They also hired out someone off ********** to help them who had no affiliation with them whatsoever who we found out had a prior criminal record as well. They then left him on my property with his special needs son we ended up taking care of. Extremely negligent of a company. The multiple times they were supposed to call about pickup or arrival etc.. and didn't? Financially, we ended up over 4000$ over budget for everything they'll claim is our fault, but the numbers plain don't add up when you start throwing it at them and they become defensive again. The delivery wasn't complete until a week later because they left our mattress 6 hours away in a different state.Best American Movers

Movers filled truck 75% of the way vs 50% of the way, they called it a full truck, then charged double the quoted price, total over $13k. boxes unlabeled even though I paid for full service packing, boxes containing only 1 item and poor packing in general. Damaged furniture. told I could use a credit card, no mention until it was time to pay that itd be 3% added. Told dispatch to deliver on 7/1 or 7/5 as we would be on the road 7/2-7/4.Got call on 7/2 as Im driving 17hrs that driver would be at my place on 7/2. threatened w/fees if I wasnt there to meet the driver. finally got delivery date of 7/5 at 7am. I paid in full prior to delivery. I was told at least six times that I had a $5200 balance due. driver showed up 3 HRS late with paperwork saying balance due. This after texting screenshots of my payment. I wasted $300 on additional movers to take some items to garage. I asked the moving company if they would either put the extra stuff in my garage or reimburse me the $300. Got yelled at and told I shouldnt have sprung it on them and that they would have done it for free if I had told them. then Im told well, they may have charged a sort fee but it wouldnt have been $300. Which is it? Then I get a text saying the extra stop would be $150. Then another text saying that service is $300 depending on how much stuff it isAgain, which is it? Dispatch ignored my requests for a call a supervisor.Finally told driverd inform me on arrival. He didnt.; got lost..******* had to get in his car and drive around to find him. ****** arrives with a helper who says he got the job off of *********** Wait, what???? I paid for professionals not ********** day labor. Both were sluggish and slow. The ********** worker was scaring us with unsafe practices. My fiancee and I ended up working and doing about 40% of the job ourselves. I asked dispatch what my time was worth as Id waited 3 hours and wasted $300 because of them. I was literally told, Nothing. Read your contract.Best American Movers

Legs to my bed were lost. Solicited information several times and was told the company would look for the pieces of my bed. No one has followed up. Was told I would be contacted with an update. After 2 weeks. No update. After paying $5000 for my move I would expect better customer service. No care for customers but money was demanded with urgency. My bed is in 5 pieces scattered around my room and my box spring and mattress are on my floor. This is the treatment you get as a customer After spending hard earned money on a service. Hopefully the process to file a claim is not horrible as the moving process was. I'm a 16 year veteran and I will make sure my.military friends and family stay away from this company.Best American Movers

We are sorry you are dissatisfied with the length of the time it took to do tracing process. There were several calls within the 2 week period to the customer back and forth. Customer was given information available as it was received by customer service. Also, Customer was given information regarding filing claim, we also have attemptted to speed up process. This ************** BEST AMERICAN MOVERS is Terrific, I just moved January 18,2024. I wanted to wait a short time and finish unpacking to see if there were any damages, No damages the team that moved me packed and wrapped all of my furniture and or boxed certain items to protect my possessions.I highly recommend this company and will definitely will use them for my next move.From the first hello with ***** the gal who explained the whole procedure completely to ******* in the service department the whole transaction was a breeze. The moving crew showed up on time were respectful of my property and treated my furniture like it was there own.if you need a great company call ***** to get the ball rolling.THERE ARE OTHER COMPANIES OUT THE WITH SIMILAR NAMES MAKE SURE TO CALL BEST AMERICA MOVER AND TALK TO *****. I have spoken with **** in their accounting department and he has quickly refunded the $3192 to my credit card which B.A.M. mistakenly charged to our account in December ******* now this issue has been resolved and we can definitely recommend B.A.M. as a moving service once more. Precisely; all employees I conferred with within B.A.M., ******, ******* and **** have been very easy to work with and we can definitely recommend using their moving service anytime you need help within such circumstances. ****** gave me the best estimate and wonderful service and was there for me at all times during the process of getting ready to move in both email and on the the phone, so I can definitely recommend their service!With Respect ****************************Best American Movers
