I wish I had read these reviews before contacting SD Appliance Service. Initially, the company seemed good. They came the next day, diagnosed the problem quickly, and ordered the part to be mailed to my home in 3-5 days. I should not have paid upfront, but I did. After a week I called to let him know I had not received it. He said it was delivered to my home but I let him know that I have cameras around the home and could show that this package was not delivered. So he said he would re-order it and have it delivered to his office. He then put me off for a couple more weeks. When I finally spoke with him, now a month after his first visit, he was incredibly rude, later apologizing saying he thought I was another customer that he was "not looking forward to speaking with." I told him I wanted a refund. He refused and said he was coming over immediately. I told him I was not comfortable having him in my home. He said, "Too bad, I am coming over." I locked all my doors, texted him a detailed account, and asked him to either give me a full refund or leave the freezer part along with the receipt and refund me the amount he charged above that. The tech dropped it off but continued to refuse to refund the excess amount. The owner called me to apologize while offering explanations that contradicted the account that the first tech claimed to have happened. He offered to send another technician and give me 10% off which I refused and continued to demand my money back. Here's the kicker - I called the local distributor to find out the price for the part. I PAID $1558.13 BUT THE PART ONLY COST $247.10!
