      Poor customer service + Price gouging terrible combination! Since ***** Appliances no longer repairs ASKO brand dishwashers ****** suggested Tarheel for the replacement of the control panel. When I called to make the appointment, I specifically told them that the control panel needed to be replaced per ***** Appliance. She did not seem surprised and said they could take care of it. However when the tech arrived he was unaware of the control panel issue and was not prepared to fix it during that service call. He was in and out of my house within 2 minutes and did not even look at my dishwasher!! Later the office emailed me a quote for the repair and it was MORE THAN DOUBLE this price ***** quoted. told them that they were double the price I was quoted elsewhere and we would be replacing the entire dishwasher at that price. Shortly after that conversation I received a bill from Tarheel for the service call. No one explained the service call fee to me nor was I asked to sign anything stating that I would pay the fee if we chose not to have the dishwasher repaired. The entire interaction was very unprofessional from the ill-prepared service tech to the absurd repair estimate. Now they are threatening to send my bill to collection when they did not hold up their end of the service by arriving prepared to fix the dishwasher as discussed at the time I made the appointment. I have no problem paying when work is actually done. Unfortunately this tech did not do his job yet still wants to be paid.

      We purchased a service contract with New Leaf through Queen **** Appliance on a new refrigerator. When the control panel became nonfunctional, I reached out to New Leaf. They directed me to seek a repair through Tarheel Appliance. That company had terrible reviews but was the one suggested in our area. The issue began the last week of March, 2023. The initial service call was the first week of April. Since then I have made weekly or more calls to New Leaf and Tar Heel Appliance. They two companies seem to have poor communication with each other getting parts approved and ordered. New Leaf communicated on one occasion a date Tar Heel would make the repair. I took off work only to find ******** had never intended a repair on that date. Finally, on July 10th, a repair was attempted only to find more parts needed to be ordered. New Leaf has refused to replace the appliance. We have no control over the refrigerator and freezer temperatures which seem to fluctuate. On a number of occasions, food in the fridge has frozen rendering it unsafe to consume. The policy states the appliance will be repaired or replaced. When asked, neither company will provide a timeframe for the repair.

      I'm not one to leave a review for anything but if I can help somebody else out, do not use this company. First, no one answers the phone, you can only leave a message. Instead of a person calling you back, you receive an automated ************* came to our house at least 3 times because we had to keep calling them because the issue was never fixed. We are currently still waiting to be contacted about a third ordered part but we had not had a working fridge for over 2 months so we gave up and had another company out which was 2 months later than we should have.
