Participants were encouraged to sign up for a separate call where details about the remarkable opportunity would be explained. On February 1, 2024, the call disclosing the opportunity was held. During the call, the owners of Melanin Money, ******, and ******, outlined a 12-month Mastermind Program. The program was filled with exceptional services. I felt excited to participate in services like personal and business tax preparation, review of last year's tax return, estate and trust creation, and many more opportunities. There were over 200 people on this call, and the offer was available for 77 people only. I secured my spot with a $2,000.00 non-refundable deposit, and we were encouraged to schedule a call with an Enrollment team to discuss the remaining balance (i.e., $28,000.00) payment options such as in-house financing, finance lending partners, or self-funding. On February 4, 2024, I spoke to an Enrollment team member, ***********************. ***** could not find my application, which I completed with the $2,000.00 non-refundable deposit, so I gave him the information again. At that moment, ***** said due to my income not being $150,000 or more, I did not qualify for the Mastermind program. However, I do qualify for a low-tier Mentee program. The money paid will go towards the balance of $8,000.00. I was disappointed the services in the Mentee program were good. However, they were not exciting like the Mastermind program. ***** explained that I could upgrade to the Mastermind program once they get my income up to $150,000, which he estimated to be six months. I wish the income requirement had been disclosed on February 1, 2024.
