I purchased a pair of glasses from this establishment in 2019, which broke twice. The 1st time was about 6 months after I purchased them, and I took them back and a young man that worked there told me he would repair them by using some type of clear wire. I allowed him to do this as long as it wasn't noticeable. The same thing just happened again, and I took the glasses back to the establishment and was told they couldn't be repaired. They could give me information to contact someone who could do welding on them, and I would be responsible for the bill. I feel like if I purchased the glasses from your establishment, you should stand behind what you sell.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/08/19) */ Good afternoon and thank you for the opportunity to respond. Ms. ***** did purchase a pair of glasses from us in December of 2019. She did bring them back and we were able to fix them the first time in 2020. We do stand behind our work and have since 1984 when I first established my practice. In an attempt to resolve her issue, we gave her the name of a repair person who solders frames as from my optician's description, it appeared that the frame had an extreme amount of wear to them. Ms. ***** felt that she should not have to pay for the repair that we should. On a 2 year old frame with wear, we really can not afford to warranty over the 1 year period. It is unfortunate that she feels that we have done something to her in a deceptive manor but truly, we tried to resolve the issue for her. Most prescriptions in glasses are only good for 1 year from the date written. We did try to resolve the issue and if we could have soldered the frames in house, we would have. We don't have the instrumentation or expertise to do that in house. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/08/21) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I actually purchased the glasses 12/2019, but didn't receive them until the middle of 01/2020. So to have a pair of glasses that last less than 2 years is totally unacceptable. That says a lot about this establishment not standing behind their products they sell. I will never visit this establishment again, nor would I refer my worst enemy. So much for customer satisfaction at this establishment. Just remember word of mouth is POWERFUL!
