I purchased a Hayward pool salt cell with a three year warranty. The cell failed and was ***laced under warranty by an authorized dealer. They told me the ***lacement cell had a one-year warranty and that is what it states on the ***lacement cell. Hayward provided an additional 3-month warranty for registering the cell. The ***lacement cell failed within the warranty period. I contacted and authorized dealer and was told the Hayward *** stated that a ***lacement cell had no warranty, refusing to honor the warranty that is clearly written on the ***lacement cell. In the meantime I have had to go out and buy a salt cell for my pool since they have delayed for so long in honoring the warranty, spending money I did not need to spend, due to what I feel is a breach of their warranty.Customer response

I purchased a Hayward pool pump in March from Amazon, the pump was delivered and my pool service company tried to install it but they found it defective. I want a refund for the defective pump.Initial Complaint

I contacted Hayward on this premature defective pump that is out of warranty purchased on 06/10/2019. Have owned MANY pumps over the years and most have lasted over ***** years. *********************** from Hayward Holdings go back to me on 01/15/2024 and basically was NO help at all. I had 3 ************ Techs out to look at this pump with blown bearings and propeller making this ungodly LOUD noise while running. I would upload my sound file, but you do not accept this kind of file. Although ************ was sent a copy of this Loud sound file. My pump is out of warranty at 4.5 years. I expected a better response from Hayward. I was really looking for a pump replacement of some sort. I heard that you had a bad run on this drive motor a few years ago. I could not wait and had to replace the pump with a Pentair Intelliflow3 that is so quiet I don't know it is on. I am looking for some kind of fair cash back allowance that I had to replace pump for a $2100 new pump. I could not take another chance of a "Premature" failure again with another Hayward Pump.Initial Complaint

In Early June, I had a issue with my AQR100 chlorine generator. I contacted the warranty line and was told I would be contacted. They never did call. I called a local warranty service store and they replace the bad cartridge. About July 10, it failed again and I called Hayward again with no response. The local store said they ordered a replacement part and gave me a claim number of W984584. About August 12, I was able to get an email from the warranty department telling me the warranty claim had not been properly submitted. On August 30, I was told they would ship me a replacement part directly to my home. Today, I inquired as the the tracking number and I was told it would be shipped but it could be 4-8 weeks before it would be shipped.I have been without proper pool chlorine all summer and in ******* thats a problem. Its been almost 4 months without proper resolution of my defective chlorine generator and Hayward has no response for me. I either need a replacement cartridge from Hayward or they need to replace the entire system. It is covered under warranty until 10/23. Someone needs contact me directly (not email) and explain why it has taken 3-4 months to resolve the defective chlorine generator.Business response

This customer was contacted the same day we received notification, and they were shipped a replacement product as requested.
