We can agree with the below review to an extent. Much lower appraisal than other appraisals we have seen on the property. His comps were outside the neighborhood in which the house is being purchased in. This home is in a good neighborhood, and he used comps in the projects where we would never consider buying a home. This isn't so much about an extremely low appraisal causing us to be out of 20k dollars and likely the home we want to grow our family in, but about the fact, we called and let a professional, compassionate and reasonable voicemail to his company, was ignored then threatened our lender to report us for it, instead of simply calling back/ responding professionally to state he needs to keep his professional integrity and stand by his appraisal. He just seems like a bad and miserable man at this point who gets off on low appraisals to ruin people's lives. To have zero leniency is cruel when you know you could be costing a family thousands of dollars they dont have. To take it further to threaten that family says something about this person. We know multiple real estate attorneys and agents and will spreading the word far and wide about his company and ****** himself as a person.

The appraiser will not stoop to such low levels of personal attacks... Our track records speaks for itself. As we previously stated, our finalized value was accurate, as illustrated by the final sales price of the property. And our client was pleased with our professionalism. And while we NEVER threatened to report ANYONE, we as professionals, abided by our fiduciary agreement with out client, which any professional can appreciate. We don't falsify values, we don't break contracts, and we don't accept assignments contingent upon "hitting a number". Feel free to share this info with anyone you chose to.

Horrible appraiser. Way off and lower than 3 other appraisals we received. Have had multiple real estate agents say when ****** gets the appraisal it is horrible and they always expect it to be low

Unfortunately this is often the case with real estate transactions, when a property is listed excessively high or excessively low, and the value is not there, all parties need a scapegoat, so often times the finger is pointed at the appraiser. Because we are bound by our fiduciary agreement (gag order) we cannot openly discuss the appraisal report with anyone, or defend our report, so we must quietly accept all scrutiny. In this case our appraised value was spot on, with the property being listed excessively high. We were able to review one of the appraisal mentioned by the reviewer, and were absolutely shocked at the comparables used and the value concluded. We even went as far as revising our report, adding in commentary as to why the list price was excessive, but alas, it doesn't matter to the parties involved, all they know is the deal is falling through, therefore the "appraiser is horrible". It should further be noted that my appraisals are 100% unbiased as I am not paid to "hit a number", whereby definition, an agent works on behalf of their client to get "the best number", creating a bias for said client. So while I have completed over ***** appraisal reports over 20 years, I don't expect to receive praise or kudos for doing my job well, but there is a reason why I have am A+ rating here, am certified by both the HUD/FHA and Veteran Affairs, and a candidate for designation with the ******************** I can completely understand the reviewer's frustrations, as their deal *** potentially fall through, however in this case, their anger is directed at the wrong person (the appraiser).
